Hi, i have a Sony Vaio SR26. I seem to hear a very very faint buzzing sound on the adapter. Is it normal?

I think its fine for a guy using pink color. its just the lid thats in pink color anyway.

its CCFL lighting(xbrite eco) with Rich Color technology.

i posted here b4 regarding experiencing some "lagness" with my msn or internet explorer b4 while using my vaio (not more than 2 months old).. (ok not sure izzit the msn or ie or the vaio itself)


didn't do much about it after coz that didn't seem to happen anymore...

however.. for this month.. whenever i was halfway using IE or MSN plus (not sure what causes this problem)... the laptop just HANG.. ya as in not responding totally.. which means that i have to restart the whole com again.. this happens for more than 10 times already and am sure is still going to happen... not sure izzit the laptop or the programs themselves...

did any of u experience this? any good advices?

i would really like to go back to the seller.. but currently overseas already >_<..

mine is a SR26GN silver...

seems like a software or OS failure. hmm u try to clear up the ie cache or msn chat logs all together. see if anything improves or not

I'm using a 3 months old SR26 too. No problem so far. You might have installed something that is conflicting with the IE and MSN plus. Try to uninstall some things and test. Hope it helps.

Update!!!

For FW35g.. no problem playing crysis.. however some part will be abit lag.. not much..

settings are:

1024x768
2xAA
all medium..

im not sure whether its the IE or MSN plus or not though.. coz those are the ones that i used most often besides windows media player... didn't install any other stuff except for antivirus and another internet quota usage meter thingy.. mayb i'll uninstall the meter thingy and see if there's any progress.....

hm..did you install mozilla firefox? Because i have experience on this...using mozilla and ie together and my com lags...

Wished I had a Vaio, i love the design, so sleek and modern. But if I buy then cannot makan for half a year.

New update.. dont use DX10 to play with FW35g.. somehow it keeps coming out error..
use dx9 if possible.. cause its much more smoother however graphic is abit lower than DX10..

not really, i dont experience lagging using them both. provided using 2gb ram.

mobility: sr series (add another rm450)
moderate usage: cs series
multimedia/desktop: fw series

offer/gift, wait for upcoming pc fair.

can play crysis with some part lag consider very good already since crysis require high performance GC to get it smooth
i think i will get FW35G in 1 or 2 weeks time!

feeling lag with my CS16G. it is with only 2GB ram and window vista.. considering of addition 2GB ram.

SZ75 user here.
I noticed the battery level will go down from 100% to 0% at sleep mode at about 24 hours like that (estimated) when on balanced power/stamina mode. This is very frustrating for me as i lazy to shut down and reboot on a daily basis.
Do any other users encounter the issue and any fix for it ?

nope i wanted to install mozilla firefox but didn't have the time to do so yet...

anyway, i recently found another problem (or might be the same 1).. woke up this morning (didn't shut down previos night) just to find that my laptop auto restart and there was a blue screen error stated... this is the 2nd time for me to encounter this though.. not sure whether izzit related to my previous problem or not....

am so frustrated now.. tried many things but they just don't seem to work... and its just less than 2 months old >_<.. anyone out here can help me???? will appreciate alot... thanks......


PS: and ya i realised this whole problem started happening since i came back to australia...
