There is this problem been bothering me since the 1st day i got my cs, previously i used xp on my notebook and this is the first time got my hands on vista...mine is vista home premium, and whenever i shut down my com, the screen will blinks a few times and goes to the windows background " Please wait" ..then it will goes back to my wallpaper and then to the windows background again, this time is "shutting down" .. my question is that, the screen blinking is normal in vista or my os has some prob?

QUOTE(davidmak @ Jan 6 2009, 09:46 PM) The screen flickering during startup and shutdown especially entering/exiting the welcome and shut down screen could be due to graphics driver problem. I have this problem on my Vaio SR. My desktop PC using ATI 4850 however did not have this problem after I updated the driver. So I think this could be the issue. I've seen pretty a lot of laptops with this flickering issue but this is nothing serious to be honest. thanks for ur reply |

QUOTE(cherryfrut @ Mar 11 2009, 04:40 AM) nope i wanted to install mozilla firefox but didn't have the time to do so yet... hm..that sounds odd, just a suggestion, try to reformat your laptop. But make sure you back up your files and make your recovery disc first.anyway, i recently found another problem (or might be the same 1).. woke up this morning (didn't shut down previos night) just to find that my laptop auto restart and there was a blue screen error stated... this is the 2nd time for me to encounter this though.. not sure whether izzit related to my previous problem or not.... am so frustrated now.. tried many things but they just don't seem to work... and its just less than 2 months old >_<.. anyone out here can help me???? will appreciate alot... thanks...... PS: and ya i realised this whole problem started happening since i came back to australia... |
