hi...
anyone here knows how long does the battery life last for the sz series....
planning to buy the sz43 in the future....
in stamina they claim to last about 4-5 hours....
but ussually this reviews are not exact....
i hope this laptop can last at least 4 hours with wireless on using words and mozilla....

I use my SZ38 for a lot of number crunching so its usually with the mains AC smile.gif Once was boarding a flight which was delayed and I ended up surfing on it on Stamina mode... easily for about 3 hours. The 4-6 hours is quite a gimmick. There's something called a VAIO Power Management tool which allows one to adjust the power consumption. When switched to Ultimate Battery... all ports are shut off, and the LCD is set at lowest dimming (which to be honest, cannot be used!)... then only would the battery last for 6 hours...on minimal word processing etc.

But heck, in terms of design and outright performance, with the lightweight and everything I needed, the SZ was a bargain for me.

get VGP-BPL2C battery with capacity of 7800mAh if you want stay longer. (+a little weight) . besides, change the gpu setting to Intel GMA 950 if you on battery. SZ capable to do switch for the GPU (between nvidia and intel)

or you can just get TX ver.
