love the sr series..nice sexy looks and feels..it's kinda like fw resized for mobility. even the lid cover design is similar to fw. but it's pity sr12 doesn't come with gpu and one have to add another 1k but for the upgrade to sr13. but i wonder why they bundle sr13 with vista business when clearly sony themselves categorize sr series for home use..?

Hm.. guess if one wanted to buy an SR-12, better upgrade the RAM to 3GB rite? Is there any difference with or without the integrated graphic card?

the only regret is the dedicated memory for the ATI GPU is now 256 instead of 128...higher spec for less price!!

I know I've posted droolage on the Vaio Z before, but goddamn! Vaio TT is going to be available soon here!? That is so drool-worthy, 11 inch at that screen resolution, and still able to play BD? Wow!

Surfing around at the moment to check out the price of Vaio TT, but it will be a tough call between TT and Z. They are both so yummy!

is it VAIO battery is not long lasting?

Hm.... wondering if any of you created a partition on your Sony Vaio & install XP? I notice that a few games & software are still not compatible with Vista (like FIFA 09.... if change to 800X600, it would not start... same goes for NBA Live 08 ). Wonder if it is a good idea.. manage to get the driver from Sony website which they place on the 13-10-2008. Anyone?

I just bought a red CS from Singapore. Uhh not very sure on the model numer tho but I got a few freebies like thumbdrive, mouse, bag, speakers and stuff.

i've just had a taste on the new cs at sonystyle yesterday..i'm not totally sure about that all glossy look..i think i like the old cr better..

I have always wondered how to disable the bluetooth if I switch on the physical wireless switch for wifi.

hmm if i wanna choose between SR 25 and CS 16, which 1 should i get ar? though CS got better specs but i like SR design and portability

does the laptop gets warm if there are too much applications runing? i know it will gets warm, but how warm can it be? 

And i saw the spec in sony website, ns doesnt has centrino right?

The wireless switch is for both WIFI and Bluetooth. When you slide it to OFF position, both interfaces will be disabled. You have to use Sony's software utilities to manually disable either one of these interfaces. Alternatively, you can go to device manager and look for bluetooth module. Right click and disable it. On the SR, there's a control panel located on the top side of the desktop screen. SR users can easily switch off and on any of those interfaces.
Yeah, the battery indicators are a bit wacky. I posted the problem here but it seems like it is a normal behavior for Sony Vaio. When I first got my SR, it only charges until 90% and it keeps charging for a very long time.  After a few rounds of usage, the battery goes 100%. Strangely, if your laptop is switched off when it charges until full, take off the adaptor, starting Windows and you will see your battery levels have gone down to 95% and then 88% is no time!

Or when your VAIO is switched on when the battery is charge till full, plugging the adaptor off and your battery levels drop down to 90-95%. Putting the adaptor back and you see it charge for 30min-1 hour. I guess thats some kind of trickle charge to slowly bring it back to 100%. So that gives me an impression that the Windows battery indicator is not accurate with VAIO laptops.

ye..ye... weird indicator. It can goes to 96% to 88% and back to 95% in a few seconds. Thinks this is a bug.So how wabout the fan? Mine  office 's dell is a very quiet lappy but not this vaio.The fan activate in the interval of every 5mins.

going to get a vaio this weekend. wanna ask, others den the laptop+promotion free gifts, am i getting other stuff like any cd's, warranty card from them? and what should i need to do once i get the laptop? need to make a recovery/backup/wadever cd like others did? this is the first time i buy laptop 

My vaio suddenly have some strange keyboard and input problem after 5days off. Where can I bring my vaio for repair? Those sony centre at midvalley, curve or sony service center damansara?
