y so surprise battery drain and heat up when gaming?
*
I wasn't surprise, but the battery had been spoiled less than 1 year.

Not sure whether I am just unlucky or caused by overcharging while gaming (my gaming habit).

What is the software or driver that makes the fan symbol pop? Now when I press the max cooling, the symbol no longer shows so in a noisy area I am unsure if the fan I am using is set to max or not.

Hi Faris,

Try to reinstall hotkey driver. I think some software registry has been messed up.

This is the macro keys app to setup the macro keys. You can download the drivers zip file and hotkey driver is inside.

Hi there,

Just wonder, current my boot option is on UEFI option (disabled field). Thus, I couldn't change to legacy mode. It is the latest bios.

If I want a windows boot logo show instead of illegear, any option for I to do so?

Since last time I just switch between legacy and UEFI, but now the option is completely disabled.

Legacy mode shows Windows logo, UEFI mode shows ILLEGEAR logo. You can change it in the BIOS

Yes, that is the problem.

The boot mode field is disabled after I flashed latest BIOS.

I need some help here..

Anyone is using a Z5 GTX 970m model?

Can you please test your furmark on the setting of
1. Full screen
2. 1920 x 1080
3. GPU Stress Test

And see your AVG FPS.. I'm getting only 8 FPS AVG.. So what's wrong with my gpu?

It is currently burning at 75C.. Turbo fan turned on

As per pm, if you have touched your fan and heatsink and remove some ic diamond accidentally, please send in your laptop for checking first. It's extremely dangerous to use it continuously with ic diamond removed.

Do dust cleaning and reapply thermal paste periodically.

Should I bring it back to Illegear to do this?
if yes, what are the charges? if I DIY, does it void warranty?

Hi, even if softly removed the heatsink and fan for cleaning, whereas the both were de-attached from CPU will also remove ic diamond as well?

I did once removed the heatsink and fan for cleaning, now I am getting 78 or 80c temperature.

I dun think it is common, normally I gets 50 to 69 range of temperature. I moved to uni hostel, it is hard to tell, since my environment has no air conditioner.

if I am not mistaken, thermal paste need to re-apply whenever you remove your heatsink, not sure if it's correct but that's what I always do when I was using desktop.
