Hello prince J! My friend is interested to buy the new illegear z5 and he might come by to the shop this week. Is that possible to order without windows 10 pre-installed? There is no such option in the store website. He already owns a spare win 10 key. blink.gif

z5 v3 here. Really itchy to get a 144hz monitor. But just notice that the port available is VGA and HDMI (its v1.4 as inform by illegear staff) only. So, its seem like the 144hz monitor will underutilized.

There is no way I have external monitor with higher frequency eh? aahh such a waste.. Can anyone can clarify this?

So jelly with the new z5 that has Display Port. Why im not thinking through cry.gif

Anyone can help me with this matter? Im in dilemma either getting 24" 144Hz, or go to 27" 60Hz if the hdmi cant handle 120Hz @ 144Hz. Tight budget sweat.gif

Any owner feedbacks on illegear products ? understandably spec wise and warranty service is good... but i will be using it overseas.. any bluescreen encounters ? keyboard, monitor, trackpad chassis issues?

I did encounter something like that but I think it was a component problem, not the laptop itself. My SSD was unable to be detected. Anyways, so far keyboard, monitor and trackpad are ok. The internet wifi adapter is rather weak though. I notice that on the same table, my friend's weaker normal acer laptop has better connection and lower ping and less packet loss. In my room, my roommate can connect to internet while I can't. So yeah it leaves something to be desired.

May I have your serial to check if you are the first batch Z5 skylake buyer that is entitled for Intel 8260-AC card upgrade? The 8260-AC is much better than 7265-N card.

I brought because they can offer me higher spec than mainstream product and spec flexibility too, which I no need to buy windows since I already owned and installed my own Samsung ssd.

After sales after consider good, they answered my queries in acceptable time frame. (Got used to dealing with logistics cs, which email must be replied within 4 hours)

Keyboard works perfectly, screen color very clear and beauty. Don't like the trackpad plastic button and its bazel, difficult to clean from dust. Love the chassis aluminum so much.

The only regret is that I should have wait for pascal gpu. As 1060 is much better than 980m. Since it is no longer a mobile version.

Another problem occurred. There's a clicking noise from the laptop. I am not sure if it comes from the hardware or what because it is silent when I mute the speakers. When I use headphones, the clicking can't be heard from outside but I can still hear it clicking from the headphones.

Yours is not the first batch of Z5 so you are not entitled for the 8260-AC free upgrade. We can still help on the wireless card upgrade to 8260-AC at low cost. Do pm us for more info.

Hi guys, advice needed.

After using my Z5 for 1 1/2 years, it tends to overheat easily especially when playing D2. I think it's about time my heatsink and fan system require some cleaning. Is it recommended to clean the fans ourselves or is it better to send my unit back to Illegear for cleaning? Afraid my warranty will be voided.

Hi Guys,

I have bought a Z5 earlier this year in January, roughly use for 1 year, the Wifi Network card got a bit of issue. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I can't predict when it will work or not so I bought an external USB Network Card just for standby. Anyone else having this issue? I want to send it in but not sure how long will it take to repair as I don't have a backup laptop at the moment =(
