My z5 laptop battery is now kaput already. the first symptom that i got is the battery is stuck at 97% then stop charging.
from there it goes to 80 then 50 until now is less than 15. i already try to cabut the battery and put it back but the problem is still persist.
are you guys are open this sat. the warranty is until march 2018.

also i buy this laptop from my fren here. he give me all the receipt for this. so still need prove of ownership?

for me i drain till 0%, then it will start charging again till 95% ~ ish

and stop charging from there.. need to drain again till 0% to start recharge again next time

Hi Christopher, the battery issue mostly affects a certain batch (10% of total) of Z-series owners and the issue is no longer happening on Raven and Laguna

Hi ApostLes, I believe a battery recalibration is recommended for your case. Personally, I also like to recalibrate the battery from time to time to ensure that the battery remains in good condition & the lifespan is prolonged.

to charge my battery back i have to drain till 0% and plugged in charger

only it says Plugged In, Charging


i see, i might drop a visit to illegear soon, need to repair my keyboard as well,, some keys very hard to press now, else it wont register

my z5 wont be powered up unless i plug in the power cord. the battery status always stays on 89%. but when i pulled out, straight padam.

i guess its time to replace the battery

Hi, Is there any BIOS update for the Intel Management Engine flaw for Z5 series. I hope illegear could come up with the patch/fixes asap.

We just verified the RAVEN bios and ME update. Will update the rest of models soonest.

There are delays on the latest BIOS release but we should be able to upload all of them this week:

Z5 and Z7 Kabylake: New BIOS ready.

Z5 and Z7 Skylake: Waiting releases from factory

RAVEN: New BIOS ready, tested and verified.

Q5 Evo: New BIOS ready, tested and verified.

S and D series: Ready, waiting FAE for test reports.

Guys, been using Z5 for 2yrs...so far so good...but plagued by this plugin not charging problem since about 6mths ago...now if want to bring outside, only can use at place with powerpoint only...any suggestion/reco for D.I.Y solution? Please don't tell me to send it to Damansara...bcos I mostly based in Johor and Singapore.

By the way, not very satisfied with the Illegear Cust support, 3mths ago my ac-dc converter for my charger spoilt n desperately looking for a replacement. Thus, I contacted the Illegear CS, they told me this part out of stock need to wait for shipment like 1mth plus like that. Alamak, how am I supposed to use the laptop w/o power supply? And they never give me any constructive advice on this matter, lucky I go to the PC shop and found a 150W equivalent replacement(from A**S) for it...u know what? It was cheaper than the one from Illegear and most importantly it works!!!

P/S: I got no complaint about the laptop itself, it was totally banged for my bucks...until all these problems popped up

Wah, thanks alot...you guys still remember me ah? But i need the laptop for my works and study...so can't send for the checkup...So, any quick fix that I can try like update the BIOS etc?
