Hi Lochi since the GPU (and alse the CPU) is soldered on the motherboard, a complete motherboard replacement is needed for the GPU change later, kindly note.

I see, how much would it cost anyway for a complete replacement upgrade ?

Can also try to set to Powerful under Sound Effects > Equalizer in the Realtek HD Audio Manager

Thank you for the reply. I tried all of that but still the output wasn't as good as i expected. Maybe my expectation was too high. haha .I guess Z7' speakers wasn't meant to be as powerful as it look ><"
Using external speaker so i guess still can live with that haha =D

At the moment, there is a bug within the BIOS that causes the touchpad backlight to turn red at random, but kindly note that it is normal and the color change does not signify any alert/special indication regarding the laptop status, kindly note.

For the panel, we haven't tested the overclocking capability of the panel but I assume that you've tried this method already? http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/ps...optimus.802167/

Hello Illegear.

My Z5 version is Skylake with GTX960m.

My current SSD is ADATA SP900 M.2 Sata 128GB and 8GB DDR4 SODIMM.

I would like to check whether my Z5 is able to upgrade the SSD and RAM ?

If yes, any recommended SSD and 16GB RAM ?

Hi

It depends on your current config, Z5 has 1x M.2 and 1x SATA slots. Are all yours occupied?

Hi Prince,

My Z5 is equipped with ADATA SSD and Hitachi HDD right now. I'm looking into changing my SSD to higher speed and storage capacity.

Thanks.

Hi iFake

Yes you may change your SSD to HDD to higher capacity, please note all your slots have been occupied and you need to remove your old SSD/HDD for an upgrade.

Hi, I would like to ask about BSOD errors on an Illegear Z5 with 1060

Specs are
7700HQ
1 stick of 8GB DDR4 RAM
Samsung SM951 256GN
Seagate Firecuda 1TB

Attached are some pictures of the stop code, can anyone lead me to the root cause of the problem?

Hi Anonymous34, is it possible for you to run MemTest for the laptop? Kindly download the software here http://www.memtest.org/. You can also install "BlueScreenView" (a freeware program) to trace the BSOD errors encountered. Once listed, you can also PM us us a snapshot of the BSOD errors later for us to perform a remote inspection accordingly.

I'm planning to run memtest on the laptop soon. But there are a few stop codes in the picture

This is one of them
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA.-What failed: NTFS.sys

Filesystem error? I think its ram rather than ssd

Very likely to be the ram issue, please send us the memtest result.

You may get 500GB SSD with that budget.
