Very disappointed with the Illegear Z7. Even after the fix last time, the problem with battery keeps coming back. It won't charge. If you unplug it, it dies. Just like that. Haiz... My work lost in a blink of an eye. This is retarded. If I wanted a desktop, I would have gotten a desktop. A batteryless laptop is pointless. Please check the battery for your products before coming up with new ones. Quality control please. I expected more from a 6k laptop. Would I send back to Illegear for repair? No. I'm already back in Sarawak. Just be more strict with your quality control so that future buyers don't experience what I experience.

Now my Z5 (v2) battery cannot last longer than 3 hours during normal usage (surfing web, youtube, etc.). The battery can't even fully charged in one shot, eg. it will charge till 55% then stop and continue for charging after 1 or 2 hours. Sometimes the battery will take more than 8 hours to be fully charged.

Does it mean that my battery is dying and need to be replaced soon?

Btw, my laptop is 2 years old.

Hi Faris Azri Aswandi, may I know whether you have reported this issue previously to us (either via WhatsApp/FB/other channels)? For rectification, you can actually ship the laptop back to our HQ for the process. Kindly PM me for more details.

Yeah. I sent it to your HQ to fix it. It was one of the problems. It was either not fixed or replaced but still with a low quality part. I know I can ship it back but then I will have to pay for the shipping and I will lose working hours. So no thanks. I'll just have to live with this "desktop". I've been around since the V2 thread and the number of battery problems is staggering. Like come on. We want to support Malaysian products but it's difficult if the quality is questionable considering the price. Haiz. Just tighten your quality control standards.

Hi Faris,

Referring to your previous RMA #10000615 dated 15/4/2017, we were given a very brief processing time to diagnose your laptop properly and despite the short timeframe, I believe we have rectified most of the 4 - 5 issues mentioned on your RMA case by tweaking the driver settings/software on your laptop. However, we had to trim down our diagnostics because of the short processing time given and it might have affected the QC. Nevertheless, there was no battery replacement performed on your laptop during the previous RMA and should it be necessary, we would have to do so once a proper, extensive diagnosis in performed on your laptop in full, kindly note.

A BIOS reflash is possible to fix the issue. However, we have yet to receive the revised BIOS from the manufacturers. We will announce in this thread once the fix is released.

Hi Alexdino, apologies for the delayed response just now as I was attending customers earlier today. Kindly drop by anytime (preferably next week Tuesday onwards) for the IPS screen replacement.

Hi StylezWork,

I believe the keycap problem has been resolved previously when you did the ic diamond with us smile.gif

Will update you once your new raven is ready to pickup.

Hi all. proud owner of Z5 since July 2017.

Before this i was kinda regret on purchasing it just right before the launch of Raven which has mechanical keyboards.

However, the chasis aluminium and stylish design of Z5 has attracted many queries and "jealousy" eyesights from my colleagues and strangers in cafe.

I must say for people who has sweaty palm like me, its better to opt for Z series or Laguna which has chasis aluminium design.

Cheers

My laptop dies if I unplug the AC, this is a recent problem, and I was hoping to unplug and replug the battery to see if this fixes it.

How do I remove the back chasis of the illegear z5? I see 9 Screws, but I don't dare to pry open the back cover.

If I go to Illegear in Damansara, if the battery is faulty, how long do I need to wait to get it fixed?
