Are marvel comics circa 94 -96 (mostly x-men etc including signed and ltd editions) and image comics (early gen 13) worth anything? I've got boxes sitting at home gathering dust...

QUOTE(shyghost @ Jun 16 2007, 11:33 AM) You can check my first post and list out those titles you have to know their worth online. But that is as far as it goes... To sell your comics in Lowyat or online, a simple supply and demand fact will do. Your comics can always sell but the price is always in the hand of the buyers. Unless you wouldn't mind waiting for the right buyer who agrees to your price. Sorry to tell it so harshly but it's the truth... Hahah that's not harsh... collectibles are always like that lol Like my fiancee puts it... they are just glorified recyled paper!

Has anyone read X-Men First Class by Jeff Parker?
Just finished it, what a great read! I haven't read something that's this much fun in years, and I really like the fact that it's the original X-Men in the starring roles - and Scott & Jean are written the best that I've seen in quite a long time.

Hi Guys! Glad could find an active comic thread out here in good ol LYN! actually i was hoping you guys could help me out, I was wondering if we could compile a list of the comic shops in Klang valley or even Malaysia. Wonder where u guys in penang buy ur comics from? Don't tell me everyone buys it from Ebay? anyway...i just started collecting comics about 2 years ago, and i have about 70% of the whole civil war colection..yes..im one of the suckers who enjoy collecting the thin comics(waddaya call em?)...seldom buy TPB or even HC..hahaha Anyway, the shop i go to is Comics Corner in SS15. The malay guy there is kinda knowledgeable but they seem to always run out fo the good popular comics..serves me right for going there once a month..haha. Iwas hoping to source my comics from other shops..the one in mid valley seldom stock up the thin comics(gee, i really dunno wats it called) and they take a long time to order stuff. SO guys, hope u can help out a buddy here and provide some good reliable comics shop address!
Thanks! will try to list down my collection sometime soon! maybe we can do some small gathering and compare comics or sumthin! haha..thisis so geek culture...but i love it

You'll sometimes see his sister (quite hot, or maybe it was just the teenage hormones) and mother there too. The best part was that they'll allow you to be there when they unpacked the goodies from overseas so you'll pretty much get first pick!

IIAM, the comics in Kinokuniya are book market editions, though there are some direct editions available too. Btw, a little update on the Y movie. Caruso & Ellsworth Adapting Y: The Last ManQUOTE New Line has set D.J. Caruso to direct and Carl Ellsworth to write the comic book adaptation Y: The Last Man for producers Chris Bender, JC Spink, Mason Novick and David Goyer, reports Variety.
The project reteams Caruso and Ellsworth following their work for Paramount/DreamWorks on Disturbia.
The story centers on a mysterious plague killing nearly all the world's male mammals overnight. A magician who's the only survivor among this group and his male pet monkey set out to find what may have wiped out the male chromosomes.
The comic "Y: The Last Man" was created by created by Brian K. Vaughn and Pia Guerra and published by Vertigo. Carl Ellsworth to write?? I thought Vaughan was penning it himself?

It's just that last time Vaughan said he was writing the screenplay for the movie himself. Btw, new creative teams have been announced for Astonishing X-Men and Runaways. Astonishing - Warren Ellis and Simone Bianchi Runaways - Terry Moore Humberto Ramos Not sure about Ellis on Astonishing but I'm psyched about Moore on Runaways.
