I struggled with this question also when I purchase my car, but if u divide the 8k difference with the total year of hire purchase, actually it makes just a small different. I'm glad that I purchase the Tc-p! Haha. Try to get as much discount as possible to offset the price difference.

Sighs same issue happen again in less then a month. Having the check system error again. Gear can't be changed. Parking brake can't release. Engine can't start. I know the solution to resolve it. However i wonder what is causing it

should be the other way round. 1.5 consumption at idle or slow traffic should not be higher than 1.8

hmmm...my fault, my statement is not really clear. i'm actually referring to, assuming u r moving bumper to bumper...slow crawl, a 1.8 should be pulling the 1.2tan better than the 1.5 non activated turbo?

i try to find the torque curve for 1.8NA vs the 1.5T from 1k rpm to 2k rpm but to no avail. if the torque curve for the same rpm shows the data, then we can see the FC figure.

I dont think the 1.8 can be more powerful when moving bumper to bumper. The high torque can be felt on my TC even move at very low rpm on traffic jam.

Here you go.. the engine torque&hp curve for both 1.5T vs 1.8. smile.gif

Yupe, like the fact that it has power and torque at lower rpm range but at the same time driver needs to drive sensibly. With recent /k post civic is reputable as 'Ah Beng' while the actual car is actually more grown up and matured. I always see this car as mini-D segment.

Hi guys,

Is it worth to get the 1.5T compared to 1.8 since 1.8 have most of the equipment of the 1.5T already?

Does the engine upgrade worth the extra bucks?

Thanks!
