It doesnt come out all the time, thats why hard to pinpoint the cause

Most of the time it comes out when after hard acceleration and then releasing and let the engine rev down

Unfortunately i still hear it last night sad.gif

Seems like coming from outside the car cabin
*
UPDATE:
Dashboard sound gone - definitely A Pillar was the fix

Cricket sound - found it. Its the in cabin reading lights (the push down for 'on' reading lights located at front headboard - just above rearview mirror). The transparent covers are slightly loose against the bracket, just push the whole bracket abit upwards to secure it better

Hope this helps!

check Ceramic Pro

1) Self-cleaning
Its super hydrophobic effect makes any liquid bead up and roll off the surface, encapsulating dirt and grime.

2) Permanent Protection
The nano particles form a permanent barrier that can only be removed through abrasion like wet sanding

3) Extreme Gloss
The protective glass shield will keep the vehicle looking shiny and new.

4) Corrosion and Oxidation Resistant
Ceramic Pro protects paint and metal from coming into contact with water and oxygen preventing oxidation and corrosion.

5) Hardness above 9H
The glass coat is above 9H on the pencil test, where maximum is 9H. The pencil test is used in the coating industry to determine a paints hardness.

6) UV Protection
With Ceramic Pro your paint won’t fade or age due to the UV protection in the glass coating.

7) Chemical Resistant
The coating has 100% resistance against damaging contaminants and harsh chemicals.

8) Temperature
Once cured, the coating provides protection from extreme temperatures ranging from -50 to 2,200 degrees Fahrenheit.

for mine, i always park and expose under hot sun.. so i did coating.. its easy to clean.. no more swirl mark..
and i coated before installed BodyKit... so my bodykit lot of dirt mark but car body dont have...

If gonna use gear braking, engage it at lower speed.

Hello new owner here, i found out the car abit  lousy handling when speeding, should i go for ultra racing bar front and rear?
*
Because the tyre is lousy.

My recommendation is change to better tyre, then only go for ultra racing.

No point if your tyre still suck at gripping.

Hi guys, can i check with you is the Auto dim rearview will function most of the time ? or only the car very far behind only function. Cuz i feel my auto dim rearview like not function. sometime the car behind light very bright but the auto dim rearview didn't function.
*
Easy way to test, at night, just use you handphone's "torchlight" function and light the 2 dots below your rearview mirror. You will see the rearview mirror will be a greenish tinge. You can try it during daytime too, but need to cover the front part of the mirror.

I'm guessing ur window tint must be quite dark? Mine is 70% all around, so I don't have any issues in terms of auto-headlights & rearview mirror auto-dimming. Only sometimes the auto-headlights would be wonky and not turn off after coming out of basement parking in the afternoon.

Check your tyre pressure. Should be 220psi front and back. Or 240psi front and 230psi back if you're really driving above 160km/h often. I had the same feeling of lousy handling, until I found out that the tyre pressure was wrong (too high) as the tyre gauge at the petrol station was faulty. Kept in pumping too much air, even though I set it at 220psi.

Just a heads up, Android Auto 2.1 APK is out. Don't think Waze is supported yet but will test later.

Android Auto Waze support will release Q1 but actual release date no one knows. Google 'whats new' didn't say anything, i presume it is only bug fixes.

Found some of the 0-100kmh etc by Performance Drive. Just for fun...

Civic 1.5T- 7.54Sec
Civic 1.8 - 10.33Sec
Mazda 3 2.5 - 7.74Sec
Toyota BRZ(M)- 7.73Sec
Bmw 320i- 7.52Sec

Surprisingly Civic 1.5T can match Mazda 3 2.5, BRZ & 320i that have higher power. Not bad huh this small 1.5T smile.gif

If you notice the vidoe 1.5T & 1.8 on S mood, Can see 1.5 with gearshift from 0-100kmh while the 1.8 just like the normal CVT with constant rpm (no gearshift). Not sure is the same with Msia Civic. Diff gearbox setting?

Well at least this is a statement that Honda CVT is not a sluggish CVT like most people's perception towards this transmissions. I feel Honda CVT transmission might not be exciting to drive but it get things done in the most efficient way, if i were Honda Engineer i would use fit a CVT into a civic too, it just make sense for a daily C-segment sedan.

I dont think the 1.8 can be more powerful when moving bumper to bumper. The high torque can be felt on my TC even move at very low rpm on traffic jam.

Here you go.. the engine torque&hp curve for both 1.5T vs 1.8.  smile.gif
*
Yes, much better low end torque for 1.5T vs. 1.8. Also better FC even during idling for the 1.5T.
