Noted with thanks. I always thought that I cleared the apps by double tapping the home button and close all apps means clearing the ram already.
*
By double tapping and closing the apps do release the ram, but it does take some time to release it, not instantly. i am assuming that its due to the syncing of the data cache and temporary data which will be sync together with iCloud. Its not like it takes minutes, probably several seconds, but those seconds does matter. Anyway, just have to work around it, I guess but still the ip7 is the best experience for me as it is soo bloody fast. biggrin.gif

Yeah I agree. Next time I will clear my ram with the new way that I just learned. 👍🏻👍🏻

I used to be an android user. But now I doubt I will turn back to android.

Because I always used to think high specs on paper means everything. Mana tau it's how the iOS integrates with the hardware(specs on paper) and creates better efficiency and performance

Hi, to those ex Android users. I read this thread and notice many of you mentioned your iPhone running much smoother than your previous Android. May I ask did you install a lot of apps on the Android and the same on iPhone?

Hey guys I been using my 7 plus for about 2 months and somehow my fingerprint reader is not reading it accurately.

I have not dropped or scratched my phone yet. I also tried reregistering my finger print.

Still same.

Please advise.

it happened to me sometime... i agree with others, i need to wipe the fp surface using wet cloth to make it work again.. including clear ram method, u also can register same fingerprint twice in settings..

i don't think so bro. Only at certain telco that do take trade ins. There are FB Malaysian groups that do sell their apple stuff. Since yours is ip6, I am sure alot of interest.

I have the same issue too, always have to wipe my thumb and also the sensor but it still doesn't work. Ended up just typing the passcode instead.

its just the OS optimized with the HW tightly~ Apps doesnt affect the OS performance, in any computers.

It's the optimization and how the OS handles background processes.

I see. Thanks for the explanation. I noticed you used Google pixel and in your experience its optimization still not as good as iOS?

I think Google Pixel is much more smoother. But its my preferences. SE was my first ever iOS device in October. Bought Pixel in January cuz I missed Android, never felt the same. Sold both and got ip7. biggrin.gif

Rhinoshield or UAG. Watch drop test from greater height. Both survived nicely. I watched many drop tests before i decided, not those waist-height drop, all from higher buildings. from the looks of spigen, i am not very confident, although it did survived too in a test.

Let's just say android itself is resource hungry and not optimized itself. Otherwise how do u explain real life test results the cheapskate Iphone with measly 3gb can beat android with 4gb?
Android phones is always about pumping memory and braging how much ram. Whereas for apple product, they don't bother publish such info. Only will know from 3rd party year downs. Their focus is on optimization using less memory.
Let's not go to security fix patches/updates and 3rd party app optimization.

But if use vanilla pixel from google, definitely more optimized than other 3rd party company like Samsung. Phone is produced by google anyway.

I still think Android is better in many ways, but getting older, i just want a phone that works(cant believe i said this), and consistent most of the part. if it doesnt work, i know quick fix will come from Apple. although in Android I can automate most of the things, i guess its one or the other. my main jumping point is the live photos and camera consistencies for non-still shots. videos are also much better on iPhones.

P.S I am comparing with vanilla Android~ not skinned ones.
