can, of ride onroad only. Once u go offroad, better get those bike specific ones. Normal sport shoes not as grippy and stiff like bike specific. Same goes for the pedals

Sorry for noob question..
After riding, can I just spray away all the mud, etc with water only?
Googling around, many suggest using cleaning agents n also need to lube the chain, etc.

can. just don't spray where there are bearings or anywhere u r not supposed too. like shifter.
if u spray lightly and u don't spray the chain, no need to relube. if u spray the chain, then u need to relube.
if u rajin, u wash ur bike. if u lazy, u just spray the bike with water. but the chain, pulley, chainring, cassette, recommended to be cleaned.
it's surprising how much gunk there is on these parts just after a few rides. chain needs to be degreased for proper cleaning.

after spray with water. just lift the bike up and release to ground. do this for a few times to ensure the access water is removed. u do not want to have water in some parts to do damges to your bike. i always do a quick wash after every ride and perform a thorough one when it is too dirty.

Just wear whatever you usually wear for sports first. No need to spend more until you are more serious about the hobby. Think about riding more on trails to build up your stamina and skill. Riding around taman can get boring fast. flex.gif

Anyone using 165mm cranks? How is it pedalling/rotation compared to longer lengths? Am thinking of changing to this length from 170mm. BB too low and getting way too many pedal strikes.
