Guys, I planned to re-use all the parts from my old 26" full suspension bike to a new (used) 26" hard tail frame.

My question, will all the components compatible? Also should I get Nexus Blacksmith frame for Rm250, or should I get XDS Special Edition for Rm550 including fork, seatpost and saddle?
*
cable length might not same. you might be lucky to reuse as normally fully suspension cables routing is longer than a HT.
seatpost have different size. 31.8mm, 27.2mm, etc
so you might not be able to re-use it

I see. I think my hub are QR. And from the photo, the frame I wanted also QR. Or I wish that they're compatible with each other. Hmmm...
*

Hi guys, I am beginner that is wanna get myself the first mtb. There are 2 mtb that catch my eyes. Exitway cortex flow and TRS Missile. 1 is alloy frame with deore xt groupset, 1 is carbon frame with deore groupset. Which 1 is a better choice?

Hi boys,

I know that most tubeless setups are done usually done this way;

1. Presta-only RIM
2. Presta valve
3. Rim tape
4. Sealant in the tire before inflation

user posted image

However my dilemma is my Rubar wheelset is a Schrader only fitting.... according to LBS they aren't able to convert to run tubeless so I did some reading. Solutions are as follow;

1. Drill a hole enough for presta valve and tape up the rim with rim tape
2. Tape up rim with rim tape and cucuk small hole for presta valve (Might leak?)
3. OR. Tape up rim with rim tape, cucuk small hole enough for schrader valve (Yes. The ones use on motorbikes and cars which are sold in motorbike/car shops)

user posted image

Has anybody run solution no.3 above before and has any advise on the whole scenario?

PS - Am still a 26" rider... not willing to spend extra extra $$$ on a 26" presta wheelset
*
is your rim intended to use tubeless?not all rims are tubeless. even if you use a good rim tape, you might have leak for this

Thanks, nanti aku check it out
Nope, bukan takut, just that last resort of protection. Carbon has different characteristics than allu or titanium.. the outer part, especially must be well taken care off.. I will trust my bike, as always and these frame protector will act as the last protector against small small scratches.. at least it'll not affect the outer resin.. But if still jatuh bodoh, well too bad so sad..
*
but putting this item will make the bike same like an alu bike. maybe i am wrong
u use carbon frame to have a lighter bike. but putting the protection will make it heavier which might cost the same if use an alu frame

Thats another reason i want to rent a bike..to get the feeling of riding mtb again and did i still have the skills to face some pacey manoeuvre while downhill in... Where do u ride usually?
XC maybe too demanding.. Epic ride to me.. Trail and downhill is what i want to explore... 😜

27.5" frame different than 26" isnt it? Apart of riding characteristic is there any other major differences between them? For example how about the hubs? Rear cassette etc?

For frames
Aluminium frame complete bike is cheap isnt it?
*
Do not rent a bike. take the guilt to buy one. Set off a budget

hye leinnz...how r u? havent talk to u for quite sometimes...still driving the mazda 2 biggrin.gif

i got the budget...but i wanted to rent a bike just to convince myself "should i need to revive" my MTB interest

back in 2008-2009 i do MTB alot...in kemensah cause im living there...and due to i explore another hobby i abandoned my MTB...used to own cheap KHS before selling them through BBS dot com smile.gif
*
yeap still is driving M2. havent replace the airbag yet.

you should not rent as it would be an excuse to not continue riding for a long period.

I too was active back in the days (when i am single and have no commitment) and am still cycling whenever i had the time.
recently bought another bike just to convinced myself to cycle more.

Sold off my wife bike as she is not into cycling and get me a new one.

after spray with water. just lift the bike up and release to ground. do this for a few times to ensure the access water is removed. u do not want to have water in some parts to do damges to your bike. i always do a quick wash after every ride and perform a thorough one when it is too dirty.
