can. just don't spray where there are bearings or anywhere u r not supposed too. like shifter.
if u spray lightly and u don't spray the chain, no need to relube. if u spray the chain, then u need to relube.
if u rajin, u wash ur bike. if u lazy, u just spray the bike with water. but the chain, pulley, chainring, cassette, recommended to be cleaned.
it's surprising how much gunk there is on these parts just after a few rides. chain needs to be degreased for proper cleaning.

oh shit.. I just spray everything.. bangwall.gif

So, what kind of lube/etc I need to purchase for simple maintenance? chain lube, etc?
Thanks.

Just wear whatever you usually wear for sports first. No need to spend more until you are more serious about the hobby. Think about riding more on trails to build up your stamina and skill. Riding around taman can get boring fast.  flex.gif

Lol. Normal bro for first timers or those getting back on the saddle again. Once your ass get used to it, you won't feel it anymore. Getting the right saddle can help feel more comfortable also. You can google to find out which shape or size that suits you.

congratzzz welcome to the club

i wear my futsal shoes when i first made it into the woods.. then only i changed to proper shoes when i knew that i will be serious on MTB.. Nope, futsal shoes are not meant for the MTB, just that wear whatever you want to wear, just that you should never forget the helmet.. the rest are not a MTB must, can be decided later..

from now on, you will noticing a thing or two that need to be replaced and upgraded.. maybe it will start with shoes? then simple pedals, maybe saddle, tires yada yada..

anyway, welcome to the club again thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

tilt the bike so one end rests on the floor, another end on the seat
Or remove both tyres

based on my friend's experience with his 29er, he will fold both of his back seat downwards so that the bike can be fitted from the boot. Front tire has to be removed. He did that but he uses a big plastic cover to cover the possible dirt/oil spill to the car. He did that also with another bike (means that 2 bikes into the car with the same method) but seat post has to be removed as well. toyota altis.
