OTA or use PCC?
Clean install by computer again.

I am setting my gf xz, still in android 6.0
How smooth was it.

Bought the XZ at DirectD last weekend. It was to replace my Samsung S7 which will be given to another family member. First impressions after updating to nougat are positive especially on the way it looks, the smoothness of the software and the location of the fingerprint sensor. As expected, the camera is not very good and the 3GB RAM might be an issue in the future. However it is a great device at the price I paid.

Also done some quick camera comparison with the S7.

Conclusion

XZ and S7 comparable in natural light, with S7 having an edge in white balance and dynamic range. In handheld low light, the XZ reminds me of my old Xperia ZL while the S7 produces great images.

XZP is up with 8.0
XZ probably within the next 2 month.

Currently using Z2 for 2 years+ already, is it worth upgrading to XZ?
Since directd is only selling for 1.4k now

For me is worth.
But keep android 6 until stable new version come out.

Hsss...rm1399, went to directd evening to looksee, only last blue unit available, didn't buy at the end becoz initially wan silver color and the speaker tested out so soft even at maximum volume.Took some time to test all the phone camera around, i think the xz camera was one of the best but only lose out to s8/note8(by far), p10/mate9, xzs/xz1/xzp and tied score with mi6. Maybe there are others good camera phone around but not bother to test those chapbarang brand like oppo and vivo.

actually the r9s rear camera is quite ok. but too overpriced

Sony has good speaker & camera, but suck in software.
If you are willing to take risk and void warranty(able to backup), you can flash sound mod to max its performance.

I am looking forward to Android 8.0, received quite a lot good feedback on XZP. Some fixes on camera distortion and sound is louder. And noticeable performance is increased.

Hopefully it can reach next few days.

i dont htink sony software isnt good . Their ui is one of the most fluid ui i have use so far . But their ram management is bad . When the phone is idle , the anroid system can take up to 1.2gnb on my xzs . Wheras for my another 2gb ram phone , the ram only stays below 900mb

Seems like the RM1399 promo is over... it's RM1599 now...

XZ user here. Already used for 10 months. Upgrade from Z1C. Until as of today, I really loved my XZ but there are few things that I have noticed which Sony should improve:-
1. There are couple of times, when temperature increase, the camera unable to use to it full potential.
2. 3GB RAM, it actually enough but their RAM Management didnt optimize the software usage properly hence will make the phone sometimes lag. If left the in idle mode then when want to use the phone back, sometimes when scrolling the menu and using the application becomes lag. Currently using RAM Cleaner to clean unused RAM. Result is much better.

Bought some XZ accessories while I was in Japan end of August.

just check on 11street 1.7K for xzs..... is good to buy now....1.7k with imx400 camera and 4GB RAM

Basically X Performance, XZ & XZs are the same phone.
At least 90% same.

In XDA, XP share some development with XZ.
