I would like to know where can I buy Sony passive noise cancelling earphones as I noticed when using an active Noise Cancelling earphones, the audio settings on NC is grayed out. It's the bundled earphones are NC?

Definitely its a bug. Switch off phone and switch on. Show 4 cores. After a while, it will become 2 cores.

After checking other software, "Multi-Core Observer", all 4 cores are in working order?

Maybe it shut down core 3 & 4 to conserve battery?  hmm.gif

But when tried other app (see above), all 4 cores seems working?

Also realize that when switch off and on back the handphone, the date/time will reset. This is because WhatsApp prompt error. Wait for a while then will back to normal.

Other users across the globe also mentioned that its a bug on nougat not only XZ but X Compact as well:-

Tried to ask Sony Center in Midvalley on the passive NC earphones. Only active NC earphones sold. The passive NC earphones is mostly bundled with Walkman.

Then I remembered that I have Walkman NWZ-X1050 which have passive NC earphones. Tested and it worked.

Previously, there is a setting called xLoud which increases the volume but now it's embedded into clear audio+
For DSEE HX, it is to upscale mp3 music up to near high res.

To answer your question, I would choose to turn off both.

Hmm are the functions of clear audio+ and dsee hx not worthy to switch on? Those mostly has effects when using earphones and headphones but not external speakers.

XZ user here. Already used for 10 months. Upgrade from Z1C. Until as of today, I really loved my XZ but there are few things that I have noticed which Sony should improve:-
1. There are couple of times, when temperature increase, the camera unable to use to it full potential.
2. 3GB RAM, it actually enough but their RAM Management didnt optimize the software usage properly hence will make the phone sometimes lag. If left the in idle mode then when want to use the phone back, sometimes when scrolling the menu and using the application becomes lag. Currently using RAM Cleaner to clean unused RAM. Result is much better.

Bought some XZ accessories while I was in Japan end of August.

AFAIK you can only clear update cache from Recovery Mod. Not from OTA or Companion update.

Thank you for your feedback.

I'm actually looking at "Settings > Storage > Internal shared storage > Cached Data" which previous versions of Android have but after updated to Oreo, its vanished!

But after google it, found that its been removed from Oreo. rclxub.gif

I prefer using original android stock to clear cache as using 3rd party, it doesn't 100% clear the cache.

I didn't realize this function is gone. I never clear cache unless low space. Never clear for XZ because 64gb is much enough for me.

I prefer the new oero way, just let it auto.

I guess I need to get use to new Oreo then.

So far mine only 38% used - 39.95GB free. But when used FB, Insta and Twitter will use lots of cache..

Even updated to Oreo, when using Camera recording for 6 mins, notification pops up saying phone temperature is rising and some features will be disabled.

But luckily didn't auto stop recording though.

Noticed after Oreo update which I have experienced:-

1. Battery drain very fast and it seems that charging takes a bit longer than previously. Example while watching streaming while charging, battery keep drain than charging?!

2. The phone is heating!! Old problem with heating is back..

3. The phone is sluggish.. When tapping on icons the phone does not respond from the first or even second or third tap.. which is really frustrating. I guess overall responsiveness of the screen and acting weirdly.

Not sure about others? Any feedback?
