i was just told by friend that i can use my Petronas Mesra card to redeem petrol directly at petrol kiosk.
i tired last night, slot in my mesra card and waiting approval, once approved, start pump petrol until it auto stop...
4,410 points for RM44.10 worth of petrol pumped.
Guess i will still stay with Petronas (8% CB) instead of jumping back BHP (while waiting application on 10% CB)...
Petronas Ikhwan (8% CB) + Mesra points is my best combo. It would've been perfect if Petronas Ikhwan offers 8% CB EVERYDAY.

On a side note about this Mesra card, those who use cash to pay and provide Mesra card to the counter, in 10 times, based on my experience, only about 2 or 3 times points is successfully credited into the Mesra card. Meanwhile if use debit/credit card at the pump and then followed by Mesra card, in 50 times, only 1 time point won't be credited and even that you will know if points will be credited or not. For cash payment, the only way to know if your points is credited is to ask for receipt or after few days check online through the portal or app.
For card payment, how to know? After your card payment is approved, you will need to slot in your Mesra card, if card is read successfully, the next screen will prompt you to start filling up and return the nozzle upon completion.
If after card payment is approved, you slot in your Mesra card, and you still see it says to enter your Mesra card, your points will not be credited as the reader is not able to read the card. For myself, I will try to slot in twice or thrice as sometimes it's not able to read on the first time. If still can't read, I will fill up either RM1 or a few cents and move to next pump or fill up like RM10 or RM20 just enough till fuel up (this is when lazy to move to the next pump of course, especially when queue is long).
