I like the design of the "iceblock", please dunt mind guide us how can we make 1? Perhaps U can create a WTS topic for it.

Added on June 29, 2010, 7:05 pmAny1 found significant difference between watercooled n stock HS cooled R3E? Other than EK, is there any other option for R3E waterblock?

yeah actually i might get the r3e block later but see if there's any other option than EK 1st .

not sure bout the diff but now mine running 50-51C on both IOH and ICH without any OC .
hopefully it'll stay below 70C under load after OC later .
btw, it'll be helpful to get the block if want to go for more uncore ^^,
perhaps 4k onwards

New build .... Ezzy and a customer worked on the build. I took the pictures..It is a "LOW KEY" build..where everything comes in a smaller size...
this is NOT a WC performance setup..just enough to handle the cpu OC temp...single loop with CPU, NB. SB, Mosfets, and GPU blocks.

1. Tubing 3/8 1/2 TFC'a acid green + black - small and nice

2. Res / Pump top - EK's X-res 100 ....pretty small, with the 100mm res mount on the top gives additional room to and make it look compact...for easy bleeding the small res's tube like this, we use a fillport, which made it pretty easy.

3. Rad - GTS 280 - the slim form factor of the res is a major plus as it gives more room for the fans. As the FPI is high, the rad is being setup as a push pull and to up the ante a bit, a couple of custom-made shrouds were put in place. so its fan > shroud > GTS > fan. Thicker rad would look ridiculously big for this setup, but for a slim rad, i think it look simply awesome. The 140 footprint made the rad+fans look good in the case, as it took up almost the whole width of the case nicely(the rad never look out of place). There might be few debate on this, but to me WC is not just praticallity and performance, it should be unique (something to call ur own), and pleasing to the user's eyes..the rig might not hit the rite key note, but imo it sure hell came pretty close..

here are some pictures...

there were comparison at one of the reknown water cooling forum... 140gts push pull very much equal to 140 gtx in push or pull setup... but not sure bout this...

if the claim correct, 280gts push pull will be better or equivalent to 240gtx with only push or pull... 140 rad will perform better compare to 120...

more interested to check out the temp instead, wanna see how the rad cope with Mobo + GPU + CPU cooling... laugh.gif
