QUOTE(babylon52281 @ Mar 8 2025, 12:47 PM) Radeons globally are value for money giving about same raster perf as Geforce 1 tier segment above for its price but come here distros & sellers price them relative to perf so its why you see Radeons with huge markups until near above tier Geforce prices. At these levels who would wanna buy Radeon with its poorer RT, DLSS, & software suite? This is why I said AMD Msia smoking weed for not controlling the prices here while their happy with 10% marketshare. I really doubt AMD is responsible for the pricing, as regions like Taiwan/Singapore share somewhat similar price tags with us (yes I know their purchasing power is different) Meanwhile in Taiwan... retailers are forcing bundles everywhere: This post has been edited by chocobo7779: Mar 8 2025, 04:13 PM

QUOTE(YahooGmail @ Mar 8 2025, 10:23 AM) Why malaysian pricing is with rm600 to rm800 markup? Distributor or retailers scalping? Capitalizing on FOMO Seriously this has been the case since the RTX 30 series/RX6000 launch, so don't act surprised Just don't buy it, and wait for supply normalizes, GPUs are not food and water This post has been edited by chocobo7779: Mar 8 2025, 04:14 PM

QUOTE(chocobo7779 @ Mar 8 2025, 04:06 PM) It depends on which part of the EU though, some parts of the EU are not as rich as what most people think here In general its the Western portion that are affluent and those that have 1st World problems of shortages 5090 & 5080 like buying candy. The ones that are much poorer do exist but also have lower VAT & less taxes. So again vs income everything is relevant but still higher than what Msian generally earn.

They also can leverage on 4th July & Black Friday sales unlike us. Thats the diff.

QUOTE(Zaszo @ Mar 8 2025, 10:19 AM) price. you can still get rtx4070 under RM2700 and all 9070 in Malaysia is above RM3000. But RTX4070 stock are pretty limited as 5070 are too pricey and 9070 is on the higher price. Care to share where do you find rtx4070 under 2700?

QUOTE(Guardian @ Mar 9 2025, 07:40 AM) Bought it during 3/3 for round 1980, still waiting for the parcel. Nice. Hard to justify paying 3.5k for 9070xt when 7800xt is hovering around 2k mark now. Only thing is everyone is praising fsr 4 saying it's a big step up from fsr3.1 and that rdna3 will not be getting it. Hopefully it doesnt take too long for 9070xt to be found near msrp here.

Yea , thought of cancelling the order but after local selling price revealed , I just proceed with it since price is close to double of 7800xt.

This is official local pricing MSRP in Msia. https://www.lowyat.net/2025/344829/heres-th...rx-9070-series/In USA, can say that Challenger, Prime & Pulse versions are the MSRP models. So take it the MSRP for 9070 nonXT is around RM 3250. For the bigger XT it should be around RM 3500 or a RM 250 gap (USD $56 or bit higher than gap for USA MSRP). Anything more than these are higher rank versions & scalping.
