Does AMD in MY always charges slightly higher?
*
Indeed. In US & EU markets, 6700/6750XT are cheaper than 3060Ti but here it is generally more expensive than B Tier (Palit, Zotac, etc) 3060Ti or around the same price as their Asus, MSI equivalent.

I've a gtx550-ti , 1 gb gddr5 cyclone ii
Bought close to Rm500

still kicking since 2012

Sapphire for me. Long ago I had a MSI Radeon GPU that kicked the bucket just after 3 years. That Sapphire still lasted me 4+ years until I mothballed that system it was in.

Meaning after 4 years its kicked the bucket?

It's similar price for all of it.. I read quite number review.. Sapphire pulse is most choosen..but don't have review compare it to xfx swft 309.. I jz wondering the temperature since it have 3 fan.. I think probably I will go with pulse
*
Nah its still alive (I guess?) as I haven't used it anymore for the last 10 years after I got my laptop and now my Alderlake rig. But the last time I recall running it, it was still working and gaming then.

still contemplating whether to get 7900 Xt or XTX. the price difference in malaysia is huge compared to US!  shakehead.gif

Its becuz AMD Msia are smoking some strong stuff thinking their products are hot stuff. In USA/EU, AMD are fighting for marketshare so they keep giving discounts and promos (like getting Jedi Survivor game free!). Here they dun care their GPU dun even sell.

Cheap here? RX 7900XTX MSRP is USD$1000 (RM 4475) but here the cheapest XTX is Asrock PG @RM 5099 (diff of RM 600) sweat.gif
Conversely
RTX 4080 MSRP is USD$1200 (RM 5370) but here cheapest 4080 is Zotac Sanitary Napkin @RM 5570 (diff of RM 200) which is a lot more reasonable sweat.gif

Whatmore Radeons go for sale in US under MSRP. I would have been a Radeon fan again if prices were more in tune with USA.

Maybe I check only old 1 generation.. Like 6000 series.. I find out it similar n cheaper a little bit.. If we buy from USA + postage ady more also.. I jz search like 6700xt 6750xt 6800xt and multiply 4.2..
*
RX6000s ady 2-3 years old and prices too much variable between our markets, cannot compare. The current new gens are closer to MSRP prices which Nvidia & AMD intends to sell us. So we can still compare our markets if we stick by official selling price.

If you buy from USA, you oso need to declare and pay duty/tax on it which will defo bump the price higher than getting locally lar. If you want to 'run under' you risk it getting impounded by Kastam and giving ur prized XTX to a lucky Kastam officer.

Kastam & LHDN are our 2 only most efficient Govt departments cool2.gif

Not sure is it because I use the same pcie cable for 8 + 6.
I tried seperate it then it works...
then later on when i install amd adreline screen turn black after 10 min waiting still black.. force shutdown..
turn it on again then it works..

Since 2 pcie cable seperate i do another cable management...
once done no gpu signal again... then force shutdown...
Then now back to normal.. confused.gif  confused.gif  confused.gif

System i5 13400 + b760m wifi 16gb ddr5, kc3000 ssd, viva gold 750w

Then try my Genshin game on this system, setting auto selected high..
CPU temperature good, min 34C high 59C

But GPU seems high? I not sure which part should i focus on.
using Antec DP 502 Flux
Should i worry on this temperature?

Try ROG Realbench and Furmark for 1 hr at least. Monitor with HWINFO, you shd be maxing out at 230W TDP (right now I see its 155W). Ur fan speed is 971rpm so it looks to be too low? Can try upping the fan curve with Afterburner.

Slow down mang. laugh.gif

1. If you think the fan is too aggressive, tune it down. If you think the fan is not aggressive enough, turn up the fan curve.
2. The card default power limit is 194w, not 230w. You add +20% more in Radeon Softwre iinm.
3. Buzzing is probably coil whine, check your FPS when that happen. If it only happen at high FPS, limit it globally.
4. Your GPU temp is only 75c, not enough for the fan to max out.

Dude's card still has room to boost further but it looks to be temp limited (hotspot at 95oC). I don't know Radeons as much but Geforce GPU are easier to figure out, as out of the box I could max out its power budget.

Hmm... so it was an mistaken entry in TPU database huh. Rare to see an error there but I guess things happen.

Not really, you can set +20% power limit from Radeon Setting so that'll increase it to ~230w.
Yes from Steam.

If only on high FPS, try limit your FPS globally. I don't know if Radeon Setting can limit globally or not, I use RTSS from MSI Afterburner.
Sometime it will go away after few weeks or months.

Yes, Superposition over 1GB. Timespy over 4GB-5GB iinm.

No I downloaded the BIOS from Techpowerup.

TPU database is for out of factory stock, in this case its typically for cards Made By AMD/Nvidia. AIB OC cards may have higher TDP but that would be stated for individual ones. Sendiri OC settings would not appear in TPU list.

Need to oso try other mem testers, I used TM5 2/AntaE settings running 20 cycles PASSED(!) but still failed Memtest86.

I wonder if Malaysian stores have also got these cards in stock already, this is really unexpected since the desktop cards haven't been officially announced by AMD yet.

Even if got oso early bird will be scalper price, you sure you want them? Somemore AMD Msia not like AMD USA, here their GPU priced nearly the same as same tier RTX. In USA, RX prices has drop to 1 tier level below RTX ie 6700XT same price as 3060 8GB.

Where got so fast lar. In our region only SG is Numba Wan, others like us belakang kira. Wait until USA & EU got nuff stocks then you will start to see here in ASEAN, and even then it will be overpriced to rake in early waterfishes.

7800XT reviews have popped up and overall it has the same nearly exact performance of its predecessor 6800XT. What a freaking disappointment from Team Red! Might as well get the older card as its higher core count would benefit GPGPU, render & AI apps.

Looks like AMD followed Nvidia with stagnant progression inline with their equally barely improved performance 4060Ti. The only thing going for the newest RX is its cheaper pricing which still dont make sense as 6800XT further discounts will likely price it on par but with a better GPU core.

How to explain this nonprogression or else it would appear that AMD have downgraded their x800 GPU stack to compete in Nvidias x070 segment. And that is big trouble for AMD as surely their slipping the competition going 1 segment down not just in RT but in traditional raster too.

Sad day for gamers.

Hi,

next year i will be swapping out my ryzen 2600 for 5800x3d. On GPU part, which card will pair well with 5800x3d ?

I will be gaming on 1080p 144hz.
*
If can wait next year then wait until Nvidia refresh lineup with SUPER cards and AMD response likely will refresh too with 7x50 series as well.

Thanks. Forgot to mention my current GPU is 5700xt, would like to look for more memory, wonder 12gb is enough for 1080p.

And would like to see AMD's response to possible nvidia's refresh next year.

No need to worry about the 8GB VRAM just yet

AMD mobile naming confusion attack! You would think its a new gen core but its not!
https://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-s-new-nam...g.648985.0.html

"For example, a customer may have the choice between a Ryzen 7 7730U and a Ryzen 7 7740U - one is based on Zen3 from 2021 and is still paired with old Vega-GPUs, while the other is a chip of the newest Zen4 generation, even though only the third digit of the model number is different."

Tempted to build a 7800x3d with an ITX mobo and nr200 case.
Heard they also fixed the looong boot times.
*
7800X3D is a hot chip so need to make sure mobo VRM can take it and sufficient cooling performance. In a SFX case, parts options are limited in local market.

Wonder after the announcement of Nvidia Super series, will there be any price cut for AMD GPU? 4080 Super is priced 999 close to 7900 XTX...
*
Globally? Radeons have been dropping prices steadily. 7900XTX had drop by up to 13% few months back. Locally? AMD Msia still smoking weed thinking Radeons are hot stuff

Go figure this prices vs 4080 Super
