Priced relative to 9070XT perf. Slight better at raster but slower in RT than the new card. Not good value not bad value but should have been cheaper to clear stock.

I went to Digital Mall earlier, all of them except C-Zone were selling the 9070 series with PC bundle. Only C-Zone still offered Gigabyte Gaming OC 9070XT at RM3579, no bundle required. Dunno how long before they also change their stance.

Whatsapp czone. All need bundle.

price. you can still get rtx4070 under RM2700 and all 9070 in Malaysia is above RM3000. But RTX4070 stock are pretty limited as 5070 are too pricey and 9070 is on the higher price.

Why malaysian pricing is with rm600 to rm800 markup? Distributor or retailers scalping?

Free market. They don't have to align with MSRP in Malaysia as there is no AMD here holding the cane. They can sell at whatever market rate that is deemed necessary. Demand and supply.

Too many hands

AMD > Asus/AsRock/MSI/Gigabyte etc > Region distributor > local pc shop > normal people.

I think GPU can be cheaper if NVDIA/AMD just sell the reference card directly here.

Agreed. GPU can be cheaper if AMD/NVIDIA just sell the reference card. As for 9070 , there is no reference card .

Even for west market, they only have AIB card.

Radeons globally are value for money giving about same raster perf as Geforce 1 tier segment above for its price but come here distros & sellers price them relative to perf so its why you see Radeons with huge markups until near above tier Geforce prices. At these levels who would wanna buy Radeon with its poorer RT, DLSS, & software suite?
This is why I said AMD Msia smoking weed for not controlling the prices here while their happy with 10% marketshare.

You want reasonable price? Wait 6 - 12 months after launch.

Sad but true, our prices are never like in the US. At least we not so bad, in Europe, it's even worse, can be as high as USD1100 for reference model.

VAT is indeed a killer and many Europeans are struggling with rising cost of living and inflation. Like you said, wait up to a year after release to get better prices.

It depends on which part of the EU though, some parts of the EU are not as rich as what most people think here icon_idea.gif
