I didn't check the prices and didn't think nitro+ would sell almost upwards of 1k compared to the reference. too bad, AMD shot themselves in the foot here in Malaysia QUOTE(antaras @ Dec 28 2022, 02:53 PM) NVIDIA also charges higher. basically regardless of brands Malaysia will always end up charging more. even so AMD has factories here. supply chain's a bitch.7900 XTX begins at $999, exact conversion rate would be 4.4-4.5k (minus other duties and taxes). here it's 5199. 4080 begins at $1199, it'd be 5.3-5.4k. here, it's 6300. right now 4080 has more stocks than 7900 xtx; I've been noticing some AIB models are selling below official MSRP. antaras liked this post

There are a few choices for RTX4080 at sub 6k. Palit, Colorful, MSI, Inno3D and Zotac. All can be gotten at sub 5.9k. Granted, they are the lowest in the bin. So, comparing to the Nitro+ might not be the best comparison. But still... 6.1k vs 5.9k. Dammit...NVIDIA also charges higher. basically regardless of brands Malaysia will always end up charging more. even so AMD has factories here. supply chain's a bitch. 7900 XTX begins at $999, exact conversion rate would be 4.4-4.5k (minus other duties and taxes). here it's 5199. 4080 begins at $1199, it'd be 5.3-5.4k. here, it's 6300. right now 4080 has more stocks than 7900 xtx; I've been noticing some AIB models are selling below official MSRP. |

There are more and more issues of 7900XTX owners reporting absurd hotspots of 110c (or more). AMD says it is "within spec, you all just making a big issue out of thin air".
That said there has been some reports of 7900XTX cards causing massive throttling as a result of this. Some reddit threads where even PowerColor rep is asking for DMs about their issues to send to AMD: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/zvvci..._else_for_that/ https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/zw9tu..._xtx_with_110c/ As always, take reddit threads with a huge grain of salt because they like to exaggerate and make up bullshit. |

💀💀💀 Avoid the reference cooler if this is true.
TL;DW The vapor chamber might have flawed in it's design or the material use is flawed. |

The problem affects more cards than thought. Partial recall in progress. https://old.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/102q5...f_the_7900_xtx/ QUOTE Radeon RX 7900 XTX: Temperature problems force AMD to act after all - ComputerBase Didn't see it posted yet but looks like they are going to recall some batches after all. AMD is working on a statement As can be heard, a statement from AMD is already in progress and will be made promptly. The ComputerBase reader "Ragnarökk88" has similar information. AMD and Sapphire have already promised us an exchange of all MBA designs sold (200 cards). As far as I have heard, 5 batches are affected and AMD is starting a partial recall of the MBA designs. Ragnarökk88, Community Member All further information will be provided in AMD's official statement. As soon as this is available, this message will be updated accordingly. QUOTE(antaras @ Dec 28 2022, 02:53 PM) Indeed. In US & EU markets, 6700/6750XT are cheaper than 3060Ti but here it is generally more expensive than B Tier (Palit, Zotac, etc) 3060Ti or around the same price as their Asus, MSI equivalent. antaras liked this post
