Pricing shared by Ideal Tech FB page.

Gigabyte Radeon RX7900 XTX 24G - RM5199
Gigabyte Radeon RX7900 XT 20G - RM4699

A few hundreds cheaper than 4080 for pure rasterization power.

Pricing is one thing... the size of the damn thing is another. I don't want to change my case just to fit a damn GPU. My Meshify C is not really a tiny case. sigh...

yes... I was saying the Nvidia cards about the size thing.

*Anyway, need to see them partners card first... Noticed some of them 7900 cards to be 3 slots as well... hopefully it's not going to be as long and wide as these Nvidia's

and then we have these...

rtx4080 1

rtx4080 2

bloody hell... they need to price them right!

So, XFX Merc compared the Zotac & Palit's offering. How do they compare? Ignoring the green and red difference, as in their built quality and reputation? The price difference is sub RM500 only. 2 years warranty vs 5 years/3 years.

*also just found this...
reference 7900 xtx

7900 series is a first generation product, similar to Ryzen 1000. Ryzen only become really viable in their 3rd iteration, the 1st one kinda sucks, 2nd one was pretty ok.
*
For me the performance is around where I expect them to be, considering like what you mentioned about Ryzen. Just that the pricing over here is a bit off. Was hoping them to be like around 700-800-ish cheaper than the green label. Will wait for more choices (different tiers of the cards) to be made available here before deciding. smile.gif

7900XT is a dumb card I agree, it should have just been called a 7800XT and be sold at the RM3.5k price point.
*
It seems like the existence of the XT spec is only to push ppl to buy the XTX cards. lol...

then that's unfortunate. I didn't check the prices and didn't think nitro+ would sell almost upwards of 1k compared to the reference. too bad, AMD shot themselves in the foot here in Malaysia whistling.gif have to stand corrected when I praised the MSRP pricing a few weeks ago.
NVIDIA also charges higher. basically regardless of brands Malaysia will always end up charging more. even so AMD has factories here. supply chain's a bitch.
7900 XTX begins at $999, exact conversion rate would be 4.4-4.5k (minus other duties and taxes). here it's 5199.
4080 begins at $1199, it'd be 5.3-5.4k. here, it's 6300. right now 4080 has more stocks than 7900 xtx; I've been noticing some AIB models are selling below official MSRP.
*
Yes... exactly. There are a few choices for RTX4080 at sub 6k. Palit, Colorful, MSI, Inno3D and Zotac. All can be gotten at sub 5.9k. Granted, they are the lowest in the bin. So, comparing to the Nitro+ might not be the best comparison. But still... 6.1k vs 5.9k. Dammit...

💀💀💀 Avoid the reference cooler if this is true.

The vapor chamber might have flawed in it's design or the material use is flawed.
