maybe they are using the same global interface.

but i felt they really need to review and improve the user experience as it is not user friendly and not interesting..

Sister just contacted SCB to see if they can absorb the SST on her behalf that charged to her supplementary card (given to me for my backup) but the live chat CS said they are unable to do it. So no choice but to proceed with cancellation, hopefully the retention team will offer something since this is just a supp and not principal card...

Any success case with SCB so far?
*
Nope. So far my supplementary all cancelled straightaway.

Too bad then. laugh.gif Luckily I have my own principal cards... sweat.gif
Hope they will do something for me in July when SST will be charged to my SCB cards.

Reverse is impossible, just hope they will give another rebate. biggrin.gif
I will see how it goes, I have three cards with them - LFC, JOP and WM. I seldom use WM but I would like to keep the card. hmm.gif

SC is very very strict when it comes to waiver now. I still remember the good ol times (5-6 years ago) when apply SC card get RM300 credit to spend. CS helped me to apply for all cards and I get RM1.8k to spent just like that.

x2 for my spouse RM3.6k free money. Ahh the good ol times.

Aiks, with all the terms like reversal, offset and cashback, as long as we don't need to pay SST then it's considered very lucky, at least for SCB. But good news is the AF is waived so I am gonna keep them thumbup.gif

I called to cancel WMC and Visa Platinum before my anniversary month (May) not long ago. The retention team called to offer 1-year annual fee waiver for WMC and RM50 cashback to offset SST (RM25 x 2 for both cards) by spending RM200 on 1 of the cards.

Maybe the cancel-then-retain route is better?

What if.... they didn't retain and cancelled your card immediately? Is that the risk people here willing to take? Considering the amount of CB they getting reloading BP? biggrin.gif

Yea, I was ready to forego WMC and Visa Plat if SC did not retain me. But since they offered to retain, i'll keep the cards for another year then! This is also the "nothing-to-lose" route biggrin.gif

Called to cancel the Visa Plat a week or two ago using SST as a cover (also I never applied for it to begin with). They called and tried to make me keep it, but since they can see from their end that I've not used the card in months, they didn't give me too much grief or try to retain me. I got a text message several days after the call saying that the card's been cancelled.

I also dunno if I'll be able to waive the JOP AF when the time comes... hmm.gif

SCB WM is not a useless card, at least for me. I'm hoping to keep for another year.

Just received latest statement and noted that there has SST been charged for my LFC Card.

So, is my turn make a call to request for any rebate or offer regarding SST.

Sad that there is no any rebate or offer for such cases unless you talking any loan with bank, there is the only option. sad.gif

But since both cards are cash back cards, just pay it while still can enjoy RM50 + RM85 biggrin.gif

How about AF? It's not charged? Or are you a new user?
