the normal practice i feel shud b any late from due date...and this BS bank dint even have grace period...mbb still the best.

with their ever chging due date is my main prob, not gvg excuse like i said it is my responsibility.
best still those fixed due date..6 close 26 pay mbb ...
am waiting their supervisor call back...i strongly feel this is not fair to treat CB payment as non payment.

I dont think they charge your cb as none payment, as you have RM1820 unpaid amount due right?

correct, the cshback is not the issue (above user was just speculating).

the bulk of the outstanding was paid AFTER due date, hence the finance interest initiated.

E.g My case:

My outstanding RM1500. I got cb RM50.
I always pay only RM1450 with no interest charged to my account.

Provided that your payment RM1450 and cb redeemed is not late that the due date.

so, no interest is charge for the cb. cb is consider as payment to your account. unless, the cb is credited same date to your due date.

A month is defined as the period which runs from the first day of a particular calendar month to the last day of that calendar month.

just to share my experience on the late payment. My due date on 8/4/19 but i paid before 12pm on 9/4/19.
Surprisingly i didnt get late payment / interest charge in my latest statement.

Now to check if next month ccris will show as 1 or not

Best is dont cross month your due date cuz the due date will be different since due to irregular number of days and the due date can be diff each month >_<

Sometimes I dare not take risk cuz I feel even payment few RM of interest I also don't want. bruce.gif

Always set reminder 3 days payment before due date (some due date fall on weekend + Public holiday), I try to avoid this argument with CS on who right or wrong. I not only having SCB card but more cards to maintain each different due date rclxub.gif

Base on your payment, 1995-175 = 1820

9~10 april interest for 1820 (2days)
11 interest for 1320 1(day)

if base on 18% p.a..calculate also RM2.48 for these 3 days only. how to get interest till RM36.03 for late 3 days payment... unless they calculate interest start from your statement date when you late pay 1 day...
*
yes, some 1 already explained if u pay late, the int calculated from the statement date.

QUOTE(#Victor @ Apr 24 2019, 12:22 PM)
can say u are really bad luck... based on LFC PDS – if the Cardholder opts to pay a partial or minimum amount within the due date, finance charges on the retail transactions will be imposed from the day the transaction is posted to the card account.

maybe try appeal with CS that u at least paid more than the required minimum payment.
*
no appeal for SCB

actually, if you're not a pro who could fully maximize the 20 days grace period, best is to pay up the moment you receive the statement if you have spare cash lying around. Otherwise, set reminder and pay the earliest possible until you become a pro.

Unless your monthly credit card bill is very high, you won't be able to save much delaying the payment. Meanwhile, the bank charge you like 15%-18% if you miss it.

Agree. If not pro payer...better don't risk the 20 days. Miss means miss...you have to be responsible for the interests charges. Not begging here & there for forgiveness.

For me I just put reminder on my G.Calendar, which will also show up on my phone's lock screen to remind me. But despite that, I also did miss the due date and paid late. No issue as CS submitted reversal request after calling them and got reflected after 2-3 days. For other banks like H*B, they said I also have a missed payment previously hence wont entertain my request. I called again and a different CS helped to submit the reversal request and again it was approved. But this is not a good practice and I'm not encouraging you do this too often.

for me, i purposely set my statement date = early of the month, so that due date = later of the SAME month. easier to track. biggrin.gif

and try to group the cards according to common statement dates.

Currently holding 21 credit cards and all are active.

What I do, just record down all the transaction into excel file including information about statement date and due date, it is quite clear already.

And also group them into single tab within same statement date.

And the way you look for your file and records, the statement and due date automatically in your mind.

me too, put all the cc info eg due date, amount to pay into google drive excel. After paid, put a "X" and stated how you make the payment.
i have been doing this for 2 years, it becomes my monthly routine.
