just to share my experience on the late payment. My due date on 8/4/19 but i paid before 12pm on 9/4/19.
Surprisingly i didnt get late payment / interest charge in my latest statement.

Now to check if next month ccris will show as 1 or not

Best is dont cross month your due date cuz the due date will be different since due to irregular number of days  and the due date can be diff each month >_<
*
Sometimes I dare not take risk cuz I feel even payment few RM of interest I also don't want. bruce.gif

Always set reminder 3 days payment before due date (some due date fall on weekend + Public holiday), I try to avoid this argument with CS on who right or wrong. I not only having SCB card but more cards to maintain each different due date rclxub.gif

So if swiped rm1500 per month for LFC, then need to swipe an additional rm2000 to get rm25 SST rebate, still worth it.
*
It can be overlook easily. vmad.gif

RM1500 for 12 months = rm18k only.
You need to 2k extra spending to achieve 20k.

Indeed a bad news. Especially online cash rebate cap at RM30 (equivalent to RM200 spending only). Bye to e-Wallet top-up and any online related payment (etc lazada, shopee, ipay88 and etc).

Now my JOP card need to take out to retail shop to swipe more! No more hiding in my wallet.

Getting RM5 x 2 times daily already good enough.

I did all my trnx between 12am to 1am before I go to sleep. Not hard, within 5 times can get 2 cashback hits!

Not applicable to all insurance. Mine is the same payment, monthly or yearly. I wanted to pay one year once but my agent told me is the same total amount even I pay monthly, I also confirmed with GE and he is right.
*
Same case as mine. Back in very early year (around 2010), paid yearly entitled 5% disc. But after few years I felt burden pay yearly. I found out no differences yearly and monthly. So I decided to change to monthly. And around year 2016 where SCB cashback card introduced to market, I start focusing paying monthly from LFC card from then onwards.

Harder to win recently. If free, just spin 5 times per day.

My monthly statement now is so long, 14 pages! Thanks for these micro-transactions.

I called to waive yesterday too,
however the operator informed that since Nov 19,
SC changed the rules.
They will not waive annual fee for LFC anymore,
so we have to pay RM 175.
Did you guys received such info?

If I cancel my card immediately,
the cash back that I should get for Janaury spending,
will they bank into my acc also during Mac?
Thanks.
*
Thanks for your reminder.
I'm not willing to pay for AF even I can earn back with cashback.

My LFC card due is month of JUL.
Guess for those earlier can stop playing drift using this card if plan to cancel it. Else all $$$ earned from drift will be gone.

QUOTE(TongCN @ Jan 9 2020, 10:23 AM)
Lol ... thanks to the drift game, i didn notice my world mile points also pile up XD

Time to exchange to cash as well
*
This World Miles rewards is unlimited. Only useful with this drift game spending.

Spent RM3 to 1WM, convert 68WM for RM1
Eg. You need to spend RM2040 to get 680WM for RM10 rclxub.gif

QUOTE(MGM @ Jan 19 2020, 08:48 PM)
17/12/2019 statement balance rm12000 due 6/1/2020
1/1/2020 paid rm8000 still owe rm4000
7/1/2020 paid rm4000 late by a couple of hours, balance fully paid
7/1/2020 knowing SCB very strict with late payment I quickly paid up the current balance of 11000
........(for trx btw 18/12/19 to 7/1/20) just in case SCB charges interest.

17/1/2020 got my statement but dont see any interest but a credit of rm400 (CB from drift game), if there is interest ........charged it should be shown in this statement right?
*
You're right that SCB is very strict on interest calculation on every transaction made on current month once you've a late payment past due date (min), not fully settled. I was in your situation as well, where I'm actually paid all for current mth trnx to avoid unnecessary interest charges which beyond the amount of my earned cashback.

Lesson learnt, do a reminder to payment 3 days b4 payment due (min payment) next time.
Fully settle is better than having any outstanding to carry forward.. 5% CB vs. 1.25% monthly interest (assume 15% annual interest). Interest amount may be greater than your CB.

Interest n late charges should appear in the latest statement dated 17/1/2020 right?
*
Yes. It should appear by statement date (eg. 17-Jan for your case). If no interest means, you're safe.

Dexter so far there is no interest or late charges incurred (based on 17/1/20 statement and online banking), last final payment was couple of hours late. Sure it is safe to continue using the cards, or should I check with the CS whether the charges are delayed or nothing at all?
*
QUOTE(beLIEve @ Jan 21 2020, 04:35 PM)
if I were you, I'd check with CS and screenshot their response.

There was ppl answer before me. drool.gif

Bank system behave exactly was it was programmed, interest past due date will calculate by statement date. By hours or not by hours late, this really depends on the bank who run the EOD processing at what time. Some bank cut-off EOD for credit card is as early as 9pm or so call switch into diff mode. So, you probably won't see the 'live' transaction done via ur credit card beyond 9pm to next day, probably before 5am (depends on their job processing end-time).

For me, it's arguable to waive the late charges and subsequent interest charge if bank is value you as good customer. So to be safe, I can suggest you can call CS and ensure your anxiety. thumbsup.gif

If you use WorldMiles card, you still earn RM10 cashback reward (Miles to Cash) for every spent of RM2040.

Every RM3 spent, earn 1 WM point.
Every 68WM can conver to RM1

So, RM2040 spent is equal to RM10.
