I would suggest this 10myr bet to be placed based on inflation rates and interests (compounding)  yearly

Yeap topping up tomorrow for sure to enjoy the 1% promo and the Asian Pac funds must drop for sure. win win situation.

still mulling the idea of taking Titans as I don't like buying into speculation. Maybe after Trump steps into office and Europe cools down for a bit

so this one would be talking about partly under "Management Risk" ??

This is what we call "opportunity cost" smile.gif unit trusts are low-risk by design.

This is management risk http://www.investopedia.com/terms/m/managementrisk.asp - pretty much mitigated by having more than one person in management. You will have that risk if the fund manager allows one person too much freedom in action. Then you end up like the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nick_Leeson case.

of course. it's down because of the Fed hike and its just only temporary. also other non opec countries have begun cutting oil supplies significantly. it all boils down to US. I'll reconsider stepping into the us/japan/Europe market after trump takes office.

The main reason for Chinese shares tumble is basically as below to prevent over heated speculating.
"China crackdown on stock purchases by insurance firms sent shares in Shanghai and Shenzhen sharply lower"

This government has a lot of unexpected pattern like limiting cash withdrawal at Macao which sent casino's shares down last Friday.

Just to share some news here.....

Schroders expects 2017 to be a volatile year for European equities but this can create significant investment opportunities, particularly as earnings look poised to improve.

Begin by building up your portfolio. Start with a fund that you believe in. You want home turf go for Malaysia or you feel you wanna ride on Trump power go US or maybe you are craving for a little Asian take out, then Asia PAC Ex Japan would be around your taste buds.

Whatever it is read. Read and do more reading. If you still are clueless, go page one and read up on Ut.

Goodnight and happy investing.
