Sifu masters, please advise. I need a CCTV to monitor my stock in early morning(missing these past few days). Indoor purpose. Standalone, doesn't need to be connected to other network, AC powered(I don't want to deal with batteries). Can view the playback via phone(android).

You still need connect to WiFi for viewing via handphone. Internet is optional if view from within the same premise.

Currently looking at this one on Shopee. My premise doesn't have WiFi/internet and I'm not planning to install one for the time being.
Seller said can use with or without WiFi. If no WiFi, CCTV itself will become hotspot so that phone can connect and interact with it.
Asking here first before pulling my trigger.

If details are correct, yes but to be safe double check if it will auto record even though no mobile device is connected. Is local seller, right?

With 2tb, what is the duration of recording I can store for a 16ch type? 5 days?

Shall I get 4tb instead?

What resolution are your cameras?

If we assume 1080p, at 16 channels, recording for 24 hours, your 2TB will only capture 2 days worth before need to recycle.

If you up to 4TB, can get 5 days worth.

Anyone know if Hikvision ip camera of China models are compatible with local NVR?

I have been eyeing for some models with certain features but not available in Malaysia market.
They are easily available in taobao.

Looking to install Hikvision ColorVu at my home, mixture of 2MPs and 4MPs. Any alternatives should I be considering? Will be running POE with a total of 8 cameras (3 indoor and 5 outdoor).

Side note... how to decipher the Hikvision NVR codings? Q, K etc. The only one I catch is the P which is how many PoE there is.

Hi, Hik ColorVu IP PoE Cam price as below:
Turret 4MP DS-2CD2347G3E-L - RM550
Turret 2MP DS-2CD2327G3E-L - RM430

Bullet 4MP DS-2CD2T47G3E-L - RM580
Bullet 2MP DS-2CD2T27G3E-L - RM500

For 8ch NVR, malaysia Distributor only take in Q series
DS-7608NI-Q2/8P - RM650

Diff from K series is jz the output bandwidth Q is 80mbps, K is 160mbps.
80mbps / 8 means 1 cam 10mbps, good enuf even for 8MP (4k) cam which use around 7680kbps at H.265 codec.
Unless ur cam is H.264, then K is more suitable.

All come with 2yrs warranty.

----------

Besides, ColorVu IP, Hikvision also got Coax ColorVu,
Price is a lot cheaper.
5MP ColorVu TUrboHD is RM210 only.
For house use, actually very sufficient.
And if you pair with Acusense TurboHD Recorder, the Motion detection alert will be a lot more accurate (around 90%) because it will only detect Human/Vehicle

Thanks! Looking at the price differences between ColorVu 2MP and 4MP looks like it is better choice to just go with 4MP instead since the price is closer than I expected.

Btw looking at the model which you mentioned is G3? I don't see this on hikvision website, only G1 and G2. Latest model I assume or for Msia market?

So pretty much the DS-7608NI-Q2/8P would support 8x 4MP camera? H.265+ vs H.265 can even save more bandwidth right?

I use Coax ColorVu in another property, 5MP I paid RM250 for it... definitely impressed with it. But for my new house I already lay down Cat6 for PoE so gonna go with IP instead.

Yes, HIKVISION Malaysia bring in G3 coz G1 price slightly lesser than G1 only.
Yes, 7608NI-Q2/8P confirm can support 8x 4MP, it even can support 8x 8MP with H.265.
COrrect, H.265 save more bandwidth and space.

If u got no budget issue, jz go for IP.
IP 4MP COlorvu will even better than 5MP colorvu.
Because IP is digital to digital, coax is digital to analog then digital, detail will loss during conversion and also Coax frame rate lower.
