thanks, went through a bit on these brands but can't seems to find some solutions for the wireless type, except Dahua has 1 which seems a bit basic and so much options on the wireless camera.

Got a quote from my contractor's contact, as follows:

I did a quick check on the camera's pricing in Shopee, had a feeling that the price is too high. Am I correct?

And the system seems just a very basic one.

Can I have some recommendations, is the above setup good enough? And how much can I nego down?

Or better go for some better cameras / NVR?

if direct to PC, u can install SmartPSS, software by Dahua, this can convert yor home pc into a NVR. if u have a NAS, use iSCSI protocol to connect and use as a drive, which yor video can store it inside.

100% wire is preferable, after all, the point where u install the cctv will need a power outlet as well, might as well just get a CAT6 cable lay for it. CAT6 is sufficient as most camera havent even reach 1Gigabit yet, all still using 10/100 ports (so far havent seen any 10/100/1000 ports on camera yet)

Are you selling them? Can give me a few options, want to do some research. Prefer known common brands to make sure ecosystem is more compatible. Hik, dahua etc.

Thinking to hook it up to my synology nas as nvr

got 3 type:
1. External Siren Link to decoder
2. External Siren Link to Camera
2. Siren in camera

If u built-in siren, the sound is not loud, is jz to alert the intruder camera detect him

the reason why we dont want camera direct trigger the external siren that sound very loud, because camera detection is not 100% accurate.
Usually what we do is use the camera with siren, and also link a external siren to decoder.
When we need to turn on the loud siren, we can use the app to On it.
