Send to Proton Edar centre, not dealer.. the car is in its 4th year now so the extended warranty only covers engine and gearbox main components only

That sums up the bill. The 60km service @ rm1940 including spark plug, cvt fluid, cvt filter those right? Considering 5k for another 4 years of worry free, fair enough IMHO.

Yup, complete 60k service

I don't think its gonna be problem free, but hopefully will last lar.. OCH has been replaced once, the car has overheated 3-4 times over the years due to the fan wire harness melt. The bulbs (headlights and brake lights) needs to be changed every few month... The transmission and engine mount also was changed less than 2 years ago and change again during the 60k service.. and alot more lah..

What proton is doing now is just replacing the parts. But part quality still the same.

Thats insane price, even my family's Passat 60k service didnt reach 3k

just done my 60k major service, cost RM 600+ (coz done a few on 50k km)

I wound just sell that shit if the bill sum RM 4.6K and buy a new car instead TBH.

Just change the faulty parts will not cost you RM4.6k so much usually.

Anyway thinking of letting my Suprima go around RM 48k with total RM 10k+ mods later this year.

My car also like that. Alot of parts need to be fix or replace. Mine also entering 4th years this year.
Below are some major parts that i have already replace or claim under warranty during my ownership:

- Engine mount - 4 Times (2 unit replace during warranty and 2 unit have to pay because no warranty)
- Transmission mount - 1 time (Pay)
- Air intake host - 1 time (Pay)
- Fog light (Front) - 2 time (Pay)
- Drive Airbag - 1 time (Claim warranty)
- Car HU - Replace With 3rd party
- Battery - Replace With 3rd party
- Throttle Body Service - 1 time (Pay)
- Tyres - 4 sets (every year change)
- VSC sensor unit - 1 time (Claim warranty)
- Radiator Fan - 1 time (Claim warranty )
- Timing Belt - 1 time (Pay)
- Turbo Parts/Host - 2 time (Claim warranty)
- 3 times update/reset ECU (Claim warranty)
- Aircon Condenser (Pay)

WOW! Almost RM 5K. Hmm... Thinking of getting either a Persona or a Polo. Polo 60K KM major service is about RM 2.5K.
minus those parts that has or might have problems.

But my Proton Saga 1st gen doesn't give me much problems. 8 years and counting!

turbo hose can claim 2 times? I only got once. Need to change when hit 65k km

Tyres-wear and tear. Mine generally last 10k km

how to know airbag faulty?

My up coming service is claiming seat belt mounting bracket. As I am tall the seat belt literally is cutting through the car. Will show pics later after being changed.

What tyres are u guys using? Mine generally last around 60k km.. the achilles did around that.. the michelins did around tgat also.. now im on dunlop d05.. dunno how long this gonna last..
