Hey guys, sorry a little sesat off topic here. But I thought I'd post a solution for a rattling sound coming from the boot cover / hatchback door grey plastic cover. Since day 1 I've had a rattling sound from either the boot cover or the inside the hatchback door - but couldn't figure out what it was. Service centers were never able to fix it. The sound was off and on - sometimes very obvious, sometimes less so. Anyway I thought it was the boot cover and tried placing pillows & weights on the boot cover, tried extra cushioning on those little rubber sticker pads under the boot cover, but the rattling was still there. But I think I've nailed it down now.
I think the answer for my case is - the irritating rattling is coming from cables located in between the grey plastic panel and hatchback door. Not all the cables are secured down, and are not cushioned with foam. So the cables (some are heavy and hard) keep knocking against the metal of the hatchback door and creates that rattling vibrating noise. Pic attached at bottom for reference.
I've used blue electrical tape to secure all moving parts down, and no more rattling noises!..... for a couple of days. It recently came back, so will try again with foam cushioning.
Hope this helps some folks out there make their cars just a little bit better.
