If based from my previous experience with S7 edge, spigen SP work flawlessly with all types of spigen cases 😂Samsung Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Official Discussion V8!, Discontinued on 11 October 2016 :(

To be honest, if replacement unit is really still a problem, Samsung should just kill the note 7 and move on and try to make a come back with a greater phone in Note 8, instead of trying to do damage control.

If they sell the new batch "safe" Note 7 at half the price, I will be willing to take the risk and get one for use. But will leave it at home if flying overseas though. Thought of getting the Note 7 to replace my aging Note 3 but somehow the safety issue is still out there. |

finally i realized what is the culprit of battery drain. wipe the cache, battery seems improving by alot, and temp run cooler as well. recommended to everyone who got their phone, to wipe their cache beforehand. prior to that, phone is tend to get hotter easier too. now it seems that i managed to tame this beast
tested with numerous of battery savings options such as disable bloatware via package disabler pro, not so much, pretty much limiting the capacity of the phone, and then using greenify with excessive dose mode, really a road warrior but big trade off with no instant notification. currently, everything enabled with just mid power saving mode, only changes that i tick is reduce brightness to 80%, and now battery is 56% ish, with 3h 20m SOT with Waze 27m 30s, Gaming (Clash Royale 9m 4s, Clash of Clans, Sky Force Reloaded 1h 9m 40s, Pirate King 11m 28s), Internet browsing + LYN roughly 20mins). Im quite satisfied. This post has been edited by eternity4av: Oct 6 2016, 10:37 PM |

So it's because of the cache..tested with numerous of battery savings options such as disable bloatware via package disabler pro, not so much, pretty much limiting the capacity of the phone, and then using greenify with excessive dose mode, really a road warrior but big trade off with no instant notification. currently, everything enabled with just mid power saving mode, only changes that i tick is reduce brightness to 80%, and now battery is 56% ish, with 3h 20m SOT with Waze 27m 30s, Gaming (Clash Royale 9m 4s, Clash of Clans, Sky Force Reloaded 1h 9m 40s, Pirate King 11m 28s), Internet browsing + LYN roughly 20mins). My always stay around 32c - 38c normal usage show by gsam battery monitor. Sometimes It does feel warmer in pocket than my other phones. I'm guessing maybe the AOD Caz display face inwards

No. Terrible advice. Glad that you are not working with Samsung. This post has been edited by kding2: Oct 7 2016, 12:10 AM |

I don't know but after close monitoring with my old faulty unit I had heating issue randomly occurring via the soc itself not the battery and my personal theory was that the soc or the cooling has a flaw and the heat from the chip might cause the general flaw in battery design to blow or start smoking.. I normally perform a hard reset everyone it starts crossing 70 celcius and it will be fine soon after..

QUOTE(jrrsim @ Oct 7 2016, 12:14 AM) No it wont. Actually it's recommended to wipe the cache partition regularly to keep the phone operation in tip top condition. Certain issues will go away after the wipe. I do wipe cache in all my smart phones once a month. And so far no issue at all. It's like doing a massage once a while to get rid of those pressures and tensions (I know this metaphor is suck). LOL... This post has been edited by Max2006: Oct 7 2016, 12:23 AM |
