Wait for further instructions from SME. We do not know anything so far except refund can be applied from SC where buy through SME only.

Come on guys. Please don't provoke anyone or even try to make a fight here. No use. Just wait for the next steps from SME and everything will be resolved soon (hope so).
If they said refund, I know what phone I want after this. If no choice and can only trade in for Samsung phone only, got to take Note5 or S7.

it's what i'm wondering as well.

as i said before, if samsung abandons such customers without recourse and compensation, it'll be a big betrayal by them and raise a lot of new enemies of their brand. hopefully they don't forget this category of note 7 buyers.

i just want to see them do the right thing although i'm not really affected per se as i'm not the one paying.

anyone using easyhome for Samsung?

feel like the app is always hibernated even tho i set it to not be optimised and to not monitor it's battery usage..

as long as i click on the app it starts working again.. dunnit to stop and start it.. anyone face same issue?

every few hour need to go to app.. haih..

just talk to mia from samsung live chat, she was suggest me to turn off the phone and go to the nearest samsung service center to process the refund process with fullbox(qc charger, cable, 2 adaptor and earphone).

first thing is... wait for official announcement.

but if recall... and refund... yes, plan should be cancelled. yes, some may consider this unfair since paid like 2-3 months and din get to use a lot... especially those who used plans like zerolution.

best thing for now is hope SME can quickly come up with plan and communicate to partners...

i believe most users already begin to stand in their group,
not about what fans vs what fans anymore.
i used to Nokia N70 > N73 > N85 > N8 > N9 > motorola razr maxx > iphone 5s > nexus 6> note 4 >note 7
i used to spen and amoled screen,so i stay with note series doesn't mean i won't change to other...
unless other can make the same spen and amoled screen,
i also used to samsung laggy touchwiz but in the market,
the phone out from the box with most featured prepared also is samsung touchwiz.

I hope there will be some best solution for those with contract with telco such as zerolution (me included)... just waiting the official news which still none from Samsung Malaysia

my advice to all:
1. no need to call CS first. unlikely they will have any info on the process. if you push for it, good chance they will just try to come up with something logical like bring everything including freebies and then we file for refund. after all, if you wanna ask for refund, you need to return whatever you "bought".

2. be patient. the global halt got announced only yesterday. in Malaysia, ppl still sleeping. it takes time to formalise a plan, especially if it's just going to be a refund. Samsung need to know how to make payment -- cheque? bank transfer? then there's also those in contract and bought by partners... or even subsales.

it can sometimes take 1 day to come up with plan, 1 day for legal to approve (meaning it's legally correct and not open themselves to lawsuits) and probably another day for marketing to word things nicely...

we all know what will happen. there will be announcement saying there's investigation. samsung puts priority on safety. so, if can, power down and use some other phones... and wait for further updates.

i strongly believe we'll have our answers probably by Thu or Fri...

in the meantime, just pray harder. smile.gif

Samsung is a huge corporation that has many subsidiary in other business. Very diversify business model, mobile is just one of the division, that probably makes easier money and faster turnover.

Of course, no biz man will think that money is enough, but with the big corporate it has its own advantage like financial support to turn things around, but at the same time, ppl and red tape could be the obstacles. No surprise seeing slow communication and announcement of decision of this huha case.
