Direct credit card check-out is fine for the 5% weekend cashback. Lazada can even do bill payments. Shopee technically accepts AMEX but so far bill payments will fail. Right now, there's an e-wallet promo going on for Maybank so things are not so simple

I've been having this card for ages, until last year kena charged whopping RM550, wtf... didn't realize all these years it was waived cuz my annual spending went past their requirement of 30k.

Pain like heck and couldn't waive it off. This year, I wanna cancel since I won't hit 30k, and worse is, there's absolutely no reason why one should even have this card. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't see any benefits using Visa Signature, don't know why we need to pay so much for a useless card.

I was then introduced Barcelona's. Cuz it has 1% rebate for most spendings, more practical. I think that's the next best Maybank card I can consider. Anyone using Barcelona's has any specific points to echo?

I would say depend on individual spend using this card.
For me, I still holding this card and always spend on grocery, I have just get waiver for annual fee last month as I have meet their requirement

Barcelona used to a good card when it was first introduced. 1% is not attractive for some of us, but if it matches your spending, then why not.

I have an unauthorised transaction on my Visa Signature cc recently. Called up customer service and they cancelled the card immediately. Im wondering when will they refund/reverse the fraudulent charge? Anyone have any experience on this?

Already posted. The fraudulent transaction was on 1st Oct. Appeared on my Maybank app on 2nd Oct. And I realised it today. Sigh.

Not too sure how can someone used my credit card without the MSOS code or TAC.

fraud transaction is very common.

let the bank do their process to dispute it with the scheme.

usually customers would win it since fraudster cannot provide proof of transaction legitimacy.

chargeback is primarily used to protect customers.

Hi All Barcelona FC Maybank Card user...
Were wondering, do you receive any transaction alert (in SMS) on every transaction done ?
Above any pre-set amount or on any amount ?

Transaction alerts now in MAE App instead of sms.
For paywave transactions, if the merchant uses "Offline" approval method (check your transaction slip), Maybank will not notify you as the merchant doesn't obtain real-time approval code from Maybank (Maybank won't know the transaction till it is claimed on the following day).

O, I do not have Maybank account except for this CC hence I do not use the MAE App...
So, means there were no SMS transaction already ?
