any tips for solo traveller?

will be spending most of the time in the convention center for few days attending seminars & talks, but would like to escape for few hours or night time where to go

staying also near the convention center

@ Wan Chai ? Local's night food heaven and pubs/bars. Don't even need to goto Central or Causeway Bay, or cross to TST/Yau Ma Tei/Mongkok, but of course you can venture there as well.

Landale Street got few types of restaurant that you may want to check and try.

lol i just got back from HK, traveling solo for a week

hi all, i will be traveling to HK with 3 other family member. Would like to visit oceanpark but the fare at entrance is expensive and i heard we can buy online for a discount. Does anyone know about this?

You can try look from Klook or 11street

I personally experienced to be purchased through Klook

buy it from Klook..Its only SLIGHTLY cheaper la, but the biggest gain from this is u gonna skip all the queue with those PRC tourists.

yes..RM600 for everything..for me definitely worth it with luggage, food, inflight ent, bigger legroom..

checked AA, its already 600 without all i mentioned above.

Yes exactly, the cheapest i get without luggage is about 500. better just wait for some other airlines promo than taking AA. otherwise just top up a bit more for a better flight.

End March & beginning October are the best time to be in HK. There'll be rain mid April onwards. July/August is damned freaking hot (with constant sprinkle of aircon water). December is good if you want to experience typhoon weather.

Queue wise - HK is a crowded city with lots of visitors from just about everywhere. Used to be even worse 3-4 years ago when the "buyers" from Mainland crosses over every single day. You are expected to queue up for almost everything including lunch and dinner.

Oh btw, get sufficient HKD there (exchange it here) cos the MYR/HKD rates at MCs there are atrocious. They will dip as low as 1.4/1.5

Cathay is almost always cheaper than AA but nobody checks cos the perception is that AA is a budget airline and must offer the cheapest fares. Twice a year, Maybank Cards will offer special rates in conjunction with Cathay and this is the time to book and Cathay will also be offering cheaper fares during the MATTA fair.
