In my experience 2 weeks ago we only had a small problem with the Airbnb address (the immigration agent didn't understand/accept our roman-characters address that we wrote on the form so we had to ask the host for the hangul address). Not sure if it's representative of all airbnb or if just immigration agent had a bad day.

not only happened in korea.. i mean for airbnb address. because sometimes the address is not full and incorrect doh.gif

I made the reservation through online 2 months before my booking date. My mistake, the date is 21th 10am to 24th 10am. It should be 3 full days to be exact instead of 4 calender days.

I didn't choose the cdw initially, however i have chose it on site when they ask me to add on. And the Total is 120K KRW.

They will pre allocate a car for you if reserve the car online. Aj rental car have half foodball field of cars for rent, it should be no problem walk in and request for the dedicated car, since the business in Jeju is not so good during winter (+boycott by china in my opinion). Off course the price will be more expensive if walk in. Not worth to take a risk as the reservation is free of charge.

once you arrive jeju airport. head to aj shuttle bus pickup point and wait for the bus. 15 minutes interval time.

once you arrive aj office. take the queue number. show them your reservation number/form + idp + passport.
they will process and collect the payment from you after your confirmation. [pay by credit card only].

after payment. go to the designated parking lot to get the car and drive to the check point.
the staff will then check the car condition with you together and you need to acknowledge [they will skip this part if you op for full cdw]
they will also teach you how to use the gps.

Is very subjective on how much to bring. You didn't mention how many days you will stay and hard to advise on that.

RM6K is about 1,600,000 KRW

Listed some price for you to judge

Fast food - 5,000 to 9,000 KRW
Alar carte Traditional Korean Food - 6,000 to 15,000 KRW
Korean BBQ per portion - 15,000 KRW - 25,000 KRW
MRT/Bus with T money - about 1,200 to 1,500K 1 way
Entrance for Tourist spot - 3,000K to 10,000 depending where you visit

Anyone have experience renting EV like Ioniq in Jeju?

eletric car is supposely way cheaper than gasoline car right?
charging for 45min could get up to 80% and last 200km i've read.
AJ so far doesnt offer any EV car in the list.

assuming you will be at jeju for 4 days. not much you can save if op for ionic. ionic is about 21k krw expensive per day compare to kia k3.

you can pump about 14 liters of petrol with 21k krw. you wont need that much petrol per day in jeju.

you won't save much since just few days mid distance drive. because the rental price for ionic is much higher upfront. somemore ioniq is hybrid car, it need gasoline too laugh.gif

enjoy your trip smile.gif

Winter boot is not really require unless you walk on snow. Most of the people there just on casual shoe. You may bring a pair of wool shocks as contigency just in case your feet can't stand the cold. You can buy the boot there if you think you really need it.

I didn't experience the Hanbok renting before, but i saw most of the girls are sturggling with the cold walking around just wearing the hanbok during winter.
I will suggest you to test the weather once you arrive that area, and decide do you really able to stand the cold/wind blow with the hanbok.
