I know this is super random. But anyone on this thread is a sneaker head and have recently travel to Seoul / jeju or is currently staying there, mind me asking are Ultraboost / NMDs widely available. I am heading there in March and just wondering how easy is it to get a pair there. Just trying to get them for my own retail purpose and not to resell is so difficult over here! Thanks for the updates! Oh and heads up on where to get them would be nice! Thank you!
*
just came back from Seoul last month. as i was searchng for NMD as well, frankly its available like Tri color both black and white available.....but the sizes range are impossible to get. but those like XR1 and R1 typiccal colors u can easily find in ABC Mart or other sneakers store around Seoul. price wise slightly more expensive than retail in Malaysia even after deduction of tax u can collect at the airport!

Early Nov still Autumn, right? First time going Korea in Autumn.

Check weather forecast, around 16~1 Degree Celsius. Need to bring down jacket?
*
i was in seoul mid of november but at one day it was pretty chilly and windy. thin jacket like uniqlo one probably would help and easy to carry also.
cannot really depend of sweater only tongue.gif

Just to double confirm, our driving license alone is not enough to drive a car in jeju right, need to apply the international license in JPJ?

RM150 each?

Yep. You need to apply for international driving license at JPJ before going. It costs RM150 and lasts for only one year. The car rental company there will request for it
*
Thanks, meaning if only one person does this, he's the only one who can drive over there aite?

I was in pyeong chang-gun last few days. Average -8°c everynight. Winter boots is not necessary but a good pair of glove is a must as the finger is the part of the body which firstly get freeze.

The cold in the city & cold outside the city is completely different. Seoraksan -2°c with consistenly wind blow 31KM/H can cause the fingers freeze within few minutes.

thinking to visit the olympic village in pyeonchang during my trip to seoul end next month.
could u share the best transportation to get from seoul to pyeongchang?

and other that ski resort for activities what else can be visited there? probably wanna go one night trip there.

I rent a car and drove to pyeongchang. Don’t know the way through public transport. I saw advertisement KTX (high speed train) is passing by. You may search and confirm it. You also can use googel map to navigate using public transport. Example key in Alpensia Ski resort and click the bus/train option. It will show you all the information.

PyeongChange-gun is full of mountains. If you just stay 1 night. I would suggest you visit Samyang Ranch since near to olympic stadium. The observatory is awesome (But is freeking cold on top due to strong wind).

Beside Samyang ranch, there is a buddish temple WolJeongSa with history & architecture. Not recomended as you just have 1 night stay.

i have 5 nights in seoul and pretty flexible. so maybe can spend 2 nights in pyeongchang if the place is beautiful.
still thinking to join DMZ tour still or not, still open right for rreservation even on winter?

In Jeju, i rent from aj rental car (avis) due to they provide new kia k3 with good price. 120k KRW for 4 days.
hustle free since is full cdw coverage. price is more about the same. the cheapest won't be much different.
In Peninsular, i rent from Lotte (hertz). Both car rentals are good in my experience even in other countries.

There are other car rental companies in Jeju like Sixt, Star, Kt, Jeju OK, Jeju Dream, Jeju Rental Car, TamRa, etc. You need to do a search on it since those are not international brand which can be easily found in english platform. Open google map search for car rental and you can get the information about the company.

Car rental companies normally provide free gps. No need worry about gps usage since is pretty easy. ask the staff to show you and spend 10 minutes to familiarize the location entry before start moving.

Waze can be used but it is not so good in other country since it is not main navigation app.

if you know Korean language or at least know hangeul, naver map or kakao map is recommended.
*
hi bro, just wanna ask. i think i made a reservation at aj rental car website for K3 also but quoted almost 120k won also but for 3 days adn i think its without cdw coverage. kinda confused with the cdw coverage during selection. u did via online also?

if i just walk in and again ask for K3 you think the price is more less the same with online, or more expensive?

Anyone have experience renting EV like Ioniq in Jeju?

eletric car is supposely way cheaper than gasoline car right?
charging for 45min could get up to 80% and last 200km i've read.
AJ so far doesnt offer any EV car in the list.

assuming you will be at jeju for 4 days. not much you can save if op for ionic. ionic is about 21k krw expensive per day compare to kia k3.

you can pump about 14 liters of petrol with 21k krw. you wont need that much petrol per day in jeju.
*
so not much of saving is it? just bumped into a post by a forummer where they rented ioniq car, and they said its easy to find charging station everywhere in jeju. so wonderinggggg if its cheaper alternative haha.

i made reservation dy with K3 hopefully will get a fine car tomorrow. cant wait to experience jeju starting tomorrow!
