Hi Guys, can commend on my itinerary? issit too pack, or impossible? or i missed some place? im flying this saturday, will stay at shinjuku airbnb.

day 2 : Odaiba AM (Hope to see gundam for last)
    Nippori Textile Town (PM)

day 3 : Mitsui Outlet Park (AM)
    Shinjuku (PM)

day 4 : Ueno (Ueno ZOo, Tokyo National Museum, National Museum of Nature)(AM)
    Shibuya (PM)

day 5 : Disneysea (buy ticket at entrance)

day 6 : Asakusa (Sensoji Temple, Tokyo Skytree, Sumida Aquarium ) (AM)
    Akihabara (PM)

day 7 : Harajuka (Takeshita Street)(AM)
    Ginza (PM)

Free time (will find place later)

day 9 : shinjuku (AM)

*
You can actually get the DisneySea ticket at the Disney Store since you'll be in Shinjuku area anyway.
For Day 6, I think it'll be better if you reverse the location (Akihabara AM, Asakusa PM). I find Sensoji & Tokyo Skytree to be beautiful at late evening. But that's only my preferences though smile.gif

Eh wanna ask, I know Universal Studio has Express Pass - does Disney offer them as well?

*
Disney has something called FastPass for certain ride, which is not for sale. You need to collect them at the FastPass kiosk for free, but first come first serve basis. The pass will specify what time range (example :10am - 10.30am) where you can just go straight into the ride.

There are some other restriction as well on this (can't hold multiple ride pass at same time , fastpass cooldown etc.). Do google for more info on this if you want to arrange your time to ride all the ride there.

And there's a Disneysea app as well in Google Store Japan that allow you to see the status of ride, waiting time and even the fastpass status of those ride. recommend to download that. thumbup.gif

Yes. Fast pass. I think the cool down period is every two hours.

I can understand. I went for the first time in March last year but it was such a short trip that I came home feeling very dissatisfied. Flew there again in Nov for autumn. And then an adhoc trip end of Dec-Jan '17 HAHAHA everyone said i overdid it but I find that people who has been to Japan will... understand the feeling of wanting to return again and again.
Yes. I honestly have the urge to go back again, knowing that I have not explored fully.

Going with strangers? Even sometimes going with friends could result in disagreement hahahaha isn't it worse with strangers??
No la as in go together.. if disagreement then just split ways lol.. I'm aiming now at August .. not sure if is going to materialise. No friends to go with. So sad.

Hi,

Planning to visit Osaka + kyoto on late December. Currently shortlisted airline MAS (Direct flight) VS ANA (1 Transit), Any other options?
For accommodation, do you guys use Airbnb service? If yes, do you encounter any issue?

Thanks in advance rclxms.gif

And I agree on the AirBnB part. I came back in Jan (this year) from Nagoya and there was no issue.

LOLLL!!!! Or if the one asking is good looking cool2.gif
Yes indeed, I understand. The only place I will ever visit from now on (out of Malaysia) will be Japan innocent.gif my goal - 1 Japan trip each year! But perhaps have to skip this year.
Omg how one phrase makes wonder. Such a good idea! Will get one of my friend to try this next time hahahaha

4 prizes though? but its not possible to keep saying "muzukashi desu nee" in 4 different machines loll!
My sensei said not within the short term. In fact, its better you buy the currency now (its relatively cheap, RM39.45) and keep it if you're going for  trip in the upcoming few months. Yen might keep going up because of our weak currency.
*
ahahha !! i dont say it at all the machines la of coz, different branches and some stuff is easier to get. Like the big pokeball and posters are easier to get. The hardest one now would be the Saber Alter figure, need like 2k - 3k yen to get it. Pikachu in sweater is hard too, try it on ur next trip there, its fun if u get it urself than buying rclxm9.gif

that is the hottest right now..so hot i didn't get to ride it
grabbed fastpass at near 9AM(because lost in their train system)...my ride time is 9.00PM laugh.gif which is near closing time

Thank you very much !

2/7 Plan to either have a nap/rest in the daytime or to finish the day early. The first day after a red eye flight will be tiring as hell cos of lack of sleep especially cos you have a kid.

3/7 seems a bit rushed, particularly cos you have to follow your kid schedule, are you sure you can visit all those places and also end up reach the zoo early enough to spend enough time there? Have you timed it according to your kid sleeping schedule?

Also, I guess July is peak lavender season, if you're going to be around Biei shouldn't you also go Furano for the flowers?

5/7 shiroi koibito park is literally on the way to otaru, so if i were you i will extend the car rental, drive, stop by the chocolate factory for an hour or two then drive to otaru for lunch n to explore the town.

If ANA got the right time for you then pick ANA

JAL not really recommended because some flight schedule is operated by MAS

Otaru only 40 minutes from Sapporo...spending around 4-5 hour could enough..only main center area canal..a few shop selling glasses and music box. You can also try Kani or Crab at that area..also Sushi recommended...

Sorry are you referring to airbnbs being ban in japan ? I booked airbnb for my japan trip earlier last month. Not a problem at all.

I'd suggest you get DisneySea tickets here before you go. I reach DisneySea 8.15am and the queue to buy ticket is long! Few websites to buy tickets actually.

The extra few minutes for you saved from buying ticket over the counter can save you alot of time for the game queues.
I rent my place last year Oct or Nov, just came back last week, no problem whatsoever. If you are really worried, can always go for the recommendations on first page.

Btw, I'm very much hooked to the culture there! I miss Japan! Anyone wants to go to Tokyo with strangers for a new experience, do let me know! I'm looking for people to go along!

My initial date is 31st August until 4th of September.
*
Ok, then I can book it. I heard from relatives who just went to Tokyo area during cny, their booking being cancelled due to this issue.

My current plan as following :

30/6 arrival at sapporo Airport via Aax, early morning. Sapporo + susukino

1/7 Sapporo + otaru

2/7, 3/7 Furano Biei, back to sapporo on 3/7

4/7, 5/7 Noribetsu, Lake Toya ,back to sapporo 5/7

6/7 flight to Tokyo, still planning

1. For 30/6-2/7 no need car as transport right? Only needed onwards.

2. The return to sapporo on 3/7 kinda waste, any suggestions on changes done to the trip?

3. Anyone been to Lake Akan? Is it worthwhile? Any other places suggested? I have yet to book flight ticket to Tokyo, so still can make changes to the plan.

4. Is hakodate area worth a visit?

Thanks

Guardian Lake Akan really far. For first timer to Hokkaido 7-ish days IMO not worth it to go there.

I guess you could add one more area in your planning - Daisetsuzan mountains (either kurodake/sounkyou onsen or asahidake), or hakodate could be good also depending what you want to see.

My hakodate blog here if you interested. The town itself so-so only but the seafood market there is superb, especially the うに丼 ie sea urchin rice bowl: http://look-see-eat.blogspot.sg/2015/11/ho...et-seafood.html

i don't think 787 is really that great enough to justify adding a stop vs non-stop flight on 777 or other aircraft ... unless you are super airline enthusiast (if you were you would have flown one already). i

No good rates, but the lowest among all. You can go Midvalley or Pavilion.

Midvalley B1 car park south court I think, there's a money changer with blue signboard. The rate there quite competitive for JPN Yen.

If you from KL, can check out Vital Rate @ Pavilion. Both sharing the same rate now, RM39.30 for 1000YEN

An update for the Gundam statue in Odaiba.

CODE
Thank you, RX-78-2 Gundam!
And it’s the beginning of a new era!

The life-sized Gundam statue that has been standing in DiverCity Tokyo Plaza since 2012 was taken down on March 5, 2017 (Japan time). The Gundam has become somewhat of a staple to the Odaiba area, attracting many Japanese and international fans.

However, there is good news!

Starting in the fall of 2017, the life-sized statue of the Unicorn Gundam will be on display!
Also, a complex featuring Gunpla, “The Gundam Base Tokyo,” will open. It is the first facility in Japan to feature the popular plastic models!

We’ll announce more details soon, so please look forward to them!
