Hi, I have finally made a plan for my trip to Tokyo for 11 days. I would like you guys to give some comments on it (too rushed/impossible/too much time allocated for it).... I'm not very much into clothing shopping, so i cramped all shinjuku, harajuku and shibuya in the same day. Thanks guys!

Holy shit. I just did the calculations for a 21 day trip from Osaka-kyoto-tokyo

2100 for rail pass.
200 per pax for accommodation air bnb (2 of us. 200 myr per night)
flight from Kuching to KL (round) 500
flight from kl to Osaka (round) 1800
250 myr per day per pax = 5000

total up spending 11k for 21 days itinerary.

am planning a proposal there. she can't afford it. I can't pay for her

11k per person for a romantic proposal may be on a low side. Food , lodging wouldn't be the salarymen. Sushi is like 2k yen atleast per person.

What about snacks and shopping. Unless u are saying no post proposal shopping

Japan is probably an expensive place to propose at.... you're sure to spend a lot there and still stay only at a budget place. Korea might be cheaper to propose at.. but i guess it's too late for you to change now..

was thinking either Italy or Japan. it really looks like Italy may be cheaper.

Make it to 1 week and prepare all the proposal flow before you are going to there

can save on rail pass

flight frm kl to osaka should find cheaper one

rm500 per day for expenses for 2 pax, abit on the high side, can lower abit

few suggestions:
1. drop tokyo from itinerary
2. reduce 21 days to 14 days
3. don't buy railpass

then she may be able to afford it...

that's what I thought too. she insist wanna go round trip to Japan and informed her that she will be unable to fork out 13k

you gotta make her understand ...doing japan round trip in 3 weeks is no fun, it's like touch and go only

I went to Japan during different seasons I feel worth it..

for your trip I suggest stick to Kansai area...can visit kobe / Nara / Hiroshima

Disagree totally. Three weeks leh, 10 days is more than sufficient to comfortably do all the major attractions in Kansai. Then the next 6-7 days in Tokyo city and another 2-3 days in greater tokyo area. Not touch and go at all

well..everyone has different sightseeing preference, it's ok you disagree with me

i am not saying my suggestions are the only correct ones

why need to do tokyo / kyoto / osaka / nara / kobe / hiroshima in 21 days in a trip, and in same season somemore ?

and he stated his gf may not be able to afford 21 days trip...so you gonna sponsor her ?

To be fair, kansai 10 days is rush, last time I went 9 days barely go all place, everywhere stay one night aldy left

But tokyo 10 days , maybe fuji 2 days and Tokyo city 8 days , should be fine

But then the rail pass can be cheaper and not required at all, same money
