the best advise 💪💪💪

what is the reason to propose? syiok sendiri lar
*
If I want to propose my wife again......I will suggest go to Hokkaido during autumn (early to mid October)

Take Thai Airway, two ways RM1020 (from KUL to BKK to CTS).
Stay at Toyoko Inn/Super Hotel, RM300/night
For 6-7days shorter trip....... eat dessert/ice cream at Otaru and make the propose there. biggrin.gif

If I have extra budget, find an onsen ryokan with half board, stay one night, syiok sendiri.

Holy shit. I just did the calculations for a 21 day trip from Osaka-kyoto-tokyo

2100 for rail pass.
200 per pax for accommodation air bnb (2 of us. 200 myr per night)
flight from Kuching to KL (round) 500
flight from kl to Osaka (round) 1800
250 myr per day per pax = 5000

total up spending 11k for 21 days itinerary.

am planning a proposal there. she can't afford it. I can't pay for her

Just had a discussion with my girlfriend,

We will travel to Japan in October/November.

Arrival at Osaka via Kansai Airport.
Spend a three days in Osaka region,
one day in Mount koya,
one day in Nara,
travel to Kyoto and spend four days there
from kyoto head to kobe and stay there for two days.
and return back to Malaysia via Osaka (kansai)

anyone who can share where is the best place to propose in your honest opinion? I was planning a scenic environment with little people and heavy in ancient Japanese culture possibly a castle or shrine or temple that we can stay in the evening.

was thinking of Hijo castle over at kyoto.

i remember at Kiyomizu-dera there's a place called Jishu Shrine located above the main hall of Kiyomizu-dera, is a shrine dedicated to Okuninushi, a god of love and matchmaking...and Kiyomizu-dera is one of the best spots to enjoy koyo ...good luck !

found a very informative site for those who feel the Jr passes are too expensive for their limited use.

from Tokyo to Kyoto via shinjuku station costs 500 myr.
you can land in Tokyo and do a trip from the north to Kyoto and finally ending your journey in Osaka and fly home from there. hope this helps

It's been discussed in previous thread. Its always cheaper using icoca card than passes if you are traveling in Kyoto area. Tokyo will be a bit different as sometimes you can get cheaper for 1/2 days subway ticket.

If you are traveling to and fro from tokyo to kyoto then it is worth it to get the JR rail pass

avoiding the Jr pass as its limitations plus we are not doing a round trip. land in Tokyo. fly back through Osaka so the Jr pass is now irrelevant.

also I will be taking the willer bus from tokyo to Kyoto which is 100 myr as compared to the bullet train 500myr. save up on hotel and traveling time.

we initially wanted to travel during the Sakura season but I don't want to struggle with tourists from China and locals during the Sakura season and the golden period. from my initial itinerary you need to double check what week will the Sakura bloom in specific regions. it would suck when you are too early or too late there.

since you are going during autumn.

Consider Nikko, their autumn colors were beautiful and had various colors at one spot. Furthermore, the crowds were much less than the Kansai area which would aid in your proposal.

Kawaguichko at their village had a row of red trees changing colors in autumn. Colors changed around first week of november

thanks

Trying finding onsen at the other side of Lake Kawaguchi. Only those can give you the view of lake + Mt Fuji. Others are mostly lake view at the back while Mt Fuji at the front (vice versa)
