Thanks for the reply!

So how does the online booking works? i tried searching on that site and the FAQs and there weren't any information on the step-by-step procedure. After i make the reservation online, it will give me something like a booking confirmation sheet? What do i do after that? Thanks!

Hi, after reservation just print out the confirmation. When your departure time comes, go a little a bit earlier say 1/2 hour early then show your confirmation at the counter. Pay at the counter itself. No advanced payment needed. Fairly easy process.

The boarding process

Make reservations from this site (print reservation information)
Pay fare at express bus terminal (cash only)
Board

So which counter do i have to visit? Is it a ticketing counter? I saw on the FAQ that there are 2 ticketing locations. Is that the one? I really appreciate your help. biggrin.gif

"Q. Can I purchase a bus ticket at Shinjuku Expressway bus terminal without making a reservation?

A. Yes, you can. Bus tickets for same-day departure are sold on the first floor. You can purchase bus tickets for a future date (the next day or later) on the second floor. Please note that you may not be able to purchase your desired bus ticket if the bus in question is fully booked."

I was wondering how late (in a year) that snow's availability in Sapporo. Was wondering a trip there from Osaka..generally have plan to go to Osaka in Feb-April timeframe..still haven't decided

feb is winter
mar is winter bordering spring
apr is spring ... sapporo might not have snow, but the mountains will surely still have snow/ice on the ground (doubt you will get much fresh snowfall though).

Come out into Kansai airport arrival hall, at the centre is a tourist information, show your receipt there to claim the ticket.
If it is JR Rail, then have to exit the arrival hall, cross to next building in front and JR Office is there.

Try calculate the cost if 1500 yen is worth daily pass or not, depending what area/places you want to visit. For me, my average daily transport is 600-900 yen only if within the city itself. I'm using ICOCA card.

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply. You bring the confirmation and get the ticket from the bus terminal ticketing counter. For all i remember the ticketing counter is not big about 4 counters. Go to the one towards your left. Or i think if you are not sure js show your confirmation, they will be kind enough to direct you to the correct counter.

The ticketing process is fairly easy if you have the reservation in hand. But the location of the bus terminal is a bit tricky.
Do your homework on locating the keio bus terminal in shinjuku and be there early to be safe.

Have a good holiday!

got back from tokyo few days ago
wanna share some reviews and tips here
my flight to tokyo HND is slightly delayed so i reached a little late at HND
but i took the 11.45PM(not even the last) train to shinjuku...so for those who doubt it, its doable(and im seated at almost the last row of the airplane)
captain say its 9c...but man, when i step out of shinjuku east exit...i wanna go back home already laugh.gif ...it doesn't feel 9c...so for those going soon....be very prepared...get a glove to protect your hand
and bring some moisturizer for your hand because the water is so cold, it would hurt your skin directly like u just punched a wall

for transportation
for those who wanna buy those 1/2/3 day pass...forget abt it
just get suica/pasmo....i see myself using JR train almost everyday to get to my destination
and train in tokyo is very confusing...so my tips is wake up early and start your trip early because it can be confusing even with hyperdia's help
like hyperdia say go disneysea only need 41 min..took me 1.5 hours
and i saw even japanese themselves uses something similar to hyperdia to help their ride...unless they stay quite outside of tokyo thn its fine

food wise
way too many things to eat there....and i didn't even manage to eat it all
the abura soba = very nice....small, medium and big are the same price
the soba at hakone = great.....but i think some might not like the raw egg mix but they have soup soba
ramen i tried hakata tenjin = cheap good soba, i did not try ichiran ramen though
and many other food

souvenirs
all the food sold in japan are 98% different, most are self produced and sold only in japan for japanese
especially their candies and keropok...they have so much varieties of candies there...u will have a hard time to decide what to buy

disneysea
u can't finish all the ride for sure...because of the waiting time and the queue will kill your leg
so consider yourself lucky if u can ride a few rides and walk the whole park in 1 day
my tips is, once u enter the park...1st thing to do is get a fastpass or just ride the toy story
i reached disneysea 9PM because im late...i directly go get toy story fast pass...guess what...it wrote 21:00~22:00 on the fastpass laugh.gif

1. u will mostly use JR train
2. u won't use more than 1.5k yen on transport everyday...only 2 out of my 8 days in my trip i reload 1k yen to my pasmo because i went odaiba
so kinda pointless getting the day pass

anything to ask can ask now when my brain still fresh laugh.gif
