QUOTE(artman @ Dec 26 2016, 11:51 AM) Hi Sifu's, here is my plan, I can only advise Day 1 there when arrive KIX, exit arrival hall into JR office, purchase the ICOCA & Haruka Express one way (2000 + 1600) = 3600 yen.do advice if there is better recommendations. TQVM Osaka Mid-April Trip - 11 Days Itinerary Day 1 - Arrival KIX (3:25PM) - Train To Kyoto (Anyone can advice train?) - Check-In Airbnb (Near Kyoto Station) Day 2 & 3 - Purchase Kyoto Bus/Train Sightseeing 2 Day Pass (2,000 Yen) - Visit Around Kyoto Day 4 (Starts Takayama-Hokuriku Area 5 Days Tourist Pass (13,500 Yen) - For Day 4-8 - Kanazawa Day Trip - Proceed To Toyama Hotel Day 5 & 6 - Visit Takayama, Shirakawa-Go, Gokayama, etc. (Flexible) Day 7 - Train from Toyama to Osaka (4 Hours) - Options To Stop-By Visits - Check-In Osaka Namba Day 8, 9, 10 - Visit Around Osaka - Purchase Osaka Amazing 2 Days Pass (3,000 Yen) - For Day 9 & 10 (*Options To Nara, Kobe Day Trip) Day 11 - Departure KIX That's the cheapest rapid train from KIX to Kyoto, that I know. ICOCA costs 2000 yen and consist of 1500 amount inside, can use at convenience store, transport, some restaurants, etc. Something similiar like TnG, HK Octopus, SG EZLink, etc. Day 2, check the locations you want to go and the cost of bus/train. It maybe cheaper if use the IC card (ICOCA/Suica/Pasmo/etc.) Day 11, check the Haruka express cost from Shin-Osaka / Tennoji / etc. to KIX. Should be 1600 yen as well. You can purchase at day 1 there. Edit: 2000 + 1600 = 3600 yen (failed math) This post has been edited by cute_boboi: Dec 26 2016, 06:17 PM |

QUOTE(eviljonz @ Dec 26 2016, 12:36 PM) You can ask the receptionist over there, usually those famous shop, there will be chinese receptionist to cater the china tourist, so you can just ask them. To eligible for tax free, your minimum purchase need to be over 5k yen. To use credit card, your spending need to be over 10k, iirc. Also make sure its clear whether the promotion can be used with tax free as well. |

Actually, personally think that you wont need any sightseeing pass, if you are only planning to go 2 places per day. From my experience, suica/icoca is more than enough to cover your daily expenses for train and bus. Will plan the Kyoto attractions worth using it. TQTQ. For D2,D3, you can refer to regentcid taikor recommendation on the first page. In his itinerary, he already cover most of the foreigner tourist spots. |

Hi! I want to ask about train transfer as shown below. At Keikyu kamata, there's only 2 minutes gap to change train (and 7 minutes gap to change train at Nihombashi). Is this doable? Is there any stairs involved when changing the train?
These are all last trains. If I miss any of this transfer, there wont be any next train and I will be stuck until the next morning. ![]() |

In Japan, they have already planned the route nicely for you, so if you ask is it doable, yes it is doable, however, you will have to walk extremely fast/run to the platform, considering few factorsThese are all last trains. Malaysian walking speed is like turtle compared to Japanese. My advice is not to take the risk and go for better one. From my exp, I always missed train during my last trip to Japan, due to wrong platform / walking too slow (although mention 3 min gap, but i took around 5 min to reach there, etc etc) |

Then I would suggest must go placesWill stick to icoca card in Kyoto. Thanks bro. 1. Kiyomizu dera - must go cause they are going to shut down for renovation in 2017 March, and will only be opened in 2020 during Olympic 2. Kyoto station - Yes, Kyoto station itself you can spend almost your whole day there doing shopping, not to mention the ramen road in the 10th floor of the station itself, and it has very nice night view as well 3. Kamo river - If you love enjoy air breeze, then this is a must go places for you. Go for a walk during evening as you can enjoy a lot of street singer over there singing, dancing. Then after that you can go to pontocho to have a nice dinner meal 4. Arashiyama - this is a bit far in my concern, it takes around 30-40 minutes to reach there using keihan(maybe hanshin not sure the line name) line. Normal tourist attractions here, prepare to walk for long period if you plan to go to togetsu bridge |

Judging from the news, I'm not really sure that you are not allowed to visit the temple itself since its only the main hall being closed down for renovation. I think you still can enjoy the scenery view when you visit there. |

Next day back to airport purchase a tourist pass counted from that day. Even I've been Tokyo few times, always blur-blur during train transfer before getting use to it. Always take it easy during vacation, too rush might spoil your plans. Keep the energy for the next few days. |
