Personally I had confidence Samsung will make sure the new Note 7 will not have those exploding batteries anymore. They would not like to see a repeat of the same problem
There are just too much pessimism here about the revised edition of the Note 7
If one had no confidence just sell it off
Even though I had sold my black Note 7 to my close friend ( at a very good offer price) I would like to repurchase one back again.
The Note 7 in my assessment is still the best Android I had used this year vs S7e, HTC10, LG V10, Nexus 6P, One PLus 3, Mate 8, MiMax, Axon 7 etc etc

I was using Nova launcher biggrin.gif quite smooth also hehe... been using it on my other phones and no issue
hahaha..i am also thinking of P9 plus..but other than their famous camera...the phone seems like normal only :/
*
Not THAT normal but also not THAT extraordinary too. I've read multiple reviewers saying that it is a lot less like Note 7 but with a much more reasonable price. Note7 surely has more features than any other "flagship" but it is all about faith now haha.

Oneplus3 seems to be promising too. But being a Samsung "loyal" customer since Tab1, buying other brands is kinda hard for me though.

Basically it goes like this,

If you're dumping your Note7, go for Mate 8.
But, Honor 8 => Mate 8.
Anyhow, P9+ > P9 > Mate 8.
Hence, P9+ <=> OP3.

This is why I hate math.

I share the same sentiments with you. I would rate the N7 to be the best all rounder period.

Interesting articles to read about the effect of note 7 recall to Samsung.

Quote from one of the editors:
Don't know how true is this statement. But it will be very sad if Samsung just drop support for the Note 7.It kinda stops me from buying the Note 7..  Now considering LG V20, but lack of s pen sad.gif

Same here, it's been almost 1 year while I was trying to find the best Android phone for myself and it seems like the Note 7 will be the best choice but now I have to rethink again?

Any idea when the phone will be made available again? Probably next week? Since the US telcos are bringing in at the same day of exchange program.

If you don't mind a bigger display of 6.4 inches, the MiMax is a good alternative. Best is darn cheap - RM900+ for 32GB, RM1000+ for 64GB and only RM1.2+K for 128GB
Its big battery of 4850 mAh , I could easily get 11-12 hours SOT
Only major weakness is its above average camera only
However most probably you would need to reflash firmware to global version as most sets purchased here come with vendor custom rom with lots of bloatware and ad popping stuffs from the installed Apus launcher

The other attractive point of Note 7 other than the pen is its display... any phone now with display on par with not 7?

Thanks for the tip on the battery settings to 80%.

Is there a way to disable the notification that pops up occasionally about the battery warning? I went to Advanced Notifications setting to see if there is some sort of System notification that I can disable but couldn't find anything.

personally, i feel the 2K display on smartphones are over-rated. i find 1080p/ fullHD is actually good enough. we dun hold phone that close to us anyway... unless you're really into VR. even then... i think 1080p is still decent enough.

i put the Note7 display next to P9... about the same. no doubt Note7 more vibrant, but if talk about screen sharpness, etc... i see... it's about the same.

it's a nag screen... meant to nag you till you have enough of it and go exchange for a new note7.
