Just now my Saga FLX SV CVT battery (dry battery) died. The battery last about 3 years. The new battery cost about RM320+. But, I want to share info with you guys about car that use CVT gearbox:

1. You cannot jump start a car that uses CVT gearbox. Yes, you can jumpstart, but there will be consequences 2-3 month later, like your car cannot start. The mechanic says, jump starting a car that uses CVT gearbox can damage the electronic component especially the CVT gearbox.

2. You cannot use wet battery on a car that uses CVT gear box. The electronic component are very sensitive.

3. Proton dry battery only last about 2-3 year before you change into new one.

Huhu...cvt auto car are expensive to maintain compare to manual ones huhu.

I want to ask about CVT fluid.. My car already 5 years old and clocked 18k km only.. After I search some other forum/blog for changing CVT fluid... the owner say go SC for change CVT fluid because need to use computer setting after change CVT fluid(for check the CVT fluid level has enough or not).. & I forgot which forum/blog got other people said 1st time no need change CVT filter and then 2nd time only change..
So.. Is that OK I just buy the CVT fluid and change by myself without that CVT filter ?

one is bosch(RM80) and another one is bendix metal king ( RM100)

which one better ? and produce less dust? curren stock brake pad produces damn lot of dust.. ><

How much SC charged for CVT transmission oil? for 36 months of service.

Sorry, I think I've said the wrong thing. I see from the service book. there put a "R" = replace for transmission oil. Do we use whole bottle of transmission oil? no right? Do they do the CVT service or just change the oil?

Yea bro, I do realise the getrag gearbox, is it really worth the extra ~10k? Coz 2009 or 2010 BLM can get around RM10k, still need to budget abit for repair mah

If not uneven no need skim.

If your brake pedal vibrates whenever you brake (fast or slow), then probably need to skim.

You shouldn't skim your rotors too many times. If skimmed more than twice I'd advise to change new.
