i think sine they invest huge money on note 7 R&D ...they wont jus simply dump the model rite?

Impossible to dump. Most likey, they will rebrand it with a brand new name. and relaunch the whole thing.

QUOTE
sure they will continue ..but i think the sales confirm will drop at least 30% ...

Probably. Still hard to predict at this moment.

QUOTE
now i jus hope the new beginning wont have same bootloop problem.. god bless!
Most people suspect that the bootloop issue was caused by the battery failure. Let's hope it's the correct answer. If not and bootloop still happen after the replacement unit, then it will be another big problem for Samsung to deal with.....

The bootloop issue so far just happen in few country only izit?

Korea seems like didnt report on the bootloop issue...

Not sure if the bootloop issue did happen in Korea. Never paid attention to it. The only thing we know was that the first battery explosion case was revealed in Korea.

QUOTE
hope they will take serious investigate on the bootloop is cause by the battery..
They did claim that it's the root cause of the bootloop in their facebook. The only problem is that there's no proof, and we certainly cannot confirm it until we have the chance to test the replacement unit

out of replacement topic, wanna ask, noticed Samsung Calendar itself have dynamic icon in TouchWiz Launcher, but when changed to Nova even though certain icon pack support dynamic, but the icon still stuck at pre-defined date, any idea for workaround?
*
Don't think there's a workaround since it's samsung app. Perhaps you should change to another calendar app if you want to keep the dynamic function in other launcher.

So far we can only guess since there's no official announcement from Samsung. My bet is in October.

Android Authority on their latest review regarding the explosion said its gonna be mid October in the UK. My guess ours is end of Oct.
*
Wow. That means almost 1 & a half month to wait. Man. I guess I can only watch some youtube reviews first while waiting for the chance to touch the real unit...

As I said previously, no matter how many times you said "My phone has no issues at all and I am still using it. Touchwood!", it will come to you eventually. It's just a matter of time. Samsung already asked all the users to "STOP" using Note 7. This statement alone already proves that Samsung themselves cannot guarantee your safety anymore if you keep using the phone.

However, some users still ignore this and said they will keep using until the dateline. Some others said they have no choice since they don't have spare phone, etc. Brothers and sisters, it's your life. You are putting your life and also other people's life in danger. No matter how you claimed your point, the risk is still there. No matter how difficult your situation is and how imprtant the phone mean to you, nothing is more important than you & your family safety.

You may call me coward. But phone is phone, life safety is life safety. I certainly won't risk my life just because I like the damn phone. Be rational people. Shut down the phone and wait for replacement unit. No spare phone? Just buy or borrow a cheap phone temporary. Phone does has a price, but your safety? It's priceless.

you dont read newspaper is it? they found an issue with the battery and corrected it on new batches. consider settled lah.
*
The replacement units only come on 29 Sept. The roadshow is held in next week, before 29 Sept. Can you sure the demo units in the roadshow is definitely taken from a new batch? No right? The problem in here is the date of the roadshow. If the roadshow is after 29 Sept, then we can only say it's definitely problem free. Otherwise, the roadshow in next week is pretty much useless since the recall issue is still going on.

Of course, the demo unit in the roadshow next week can be taken from a newer batch. But we will never know. And I am sure those promoters won't have time to explain to the visitors one by one.

is there a posibility that the replacement note7 have been directed for sale at the roadshow first thus the delay till 29th for the replacements?

i think SG and MY is not too far and surely if one have stocks, the other sure to have.
*
if that's the case, where's the advertisements? Where's the announcement from Samsung? Even Samsung themselves already took down the Note 7 banner from their official site and facebook. Based on those signs, most people tend to believe that the roadshow was actually pre-planned before the battery issues exposed.

Also, I don't think Samsung will be stupid enough to put a sales in the roadshow next week. If they do, what about those pre-order users who wait for the replacement units? The pre-order users already complaint about why they have to wait for so long to get the new set. And Samsung dare to ignore them and start the sales before 29th Sept? Everyone know it won't make sense at all.

i was really hoping to see the roadshow though and feel my hands on the Note7.
*
Indeed. Not only you, me too. Despite all those bad news, I am still interested to see and touch the phone on the spot. Now let's wait and see if the roadshow next week is really on (it may be cancelled, who knows), and also see if Samsung wants to put out some Note 7 display in the show.

hmmm....

See. I already told you guys before. No matter how hard Samsung is recalling all the phones and told you not to use it, some defective units will still be remained in the market. In this case, senQ is being irresponsible to display Note 7 while charging. mad.gif

You are talking like you are CEO of Samsung and you sounds like you are the one managing all logistics of Note7 Delivery. Open up your mind.. 29th is recall date. The phone eventually will touch down Malaysia much earlier lah. My phone i got it on Aug 18th but packing was done on 10th Aug by Digi (noticed that on my slip). Phone could reach Samsung earlier than 29th.  Dont scared people lah.. Samsung know what they do.
*
Oh I see. Then I apologize lah bro. I may sound very harsh, but I am just showing my concern to my supported brand. No hard feeling lah bro.

And Yes, you are right on the logistic. But still, will them put a sales in the road show is still remain as a question. Are you a pre-order user? If you are, do you want to see people start buying the phone in the roadshow while you are still waiting for your replacement unit?

I am pre order user. And I do not know if samsung  is planning to sell during the roadshow. Even if they are.. I do not care as long as I get my replacement unit on 29th onwards. This is not end of world. I have so many things to worry about in my life.. this note7 issue is peanut. Stop worrying its bad for your heart.
*
I see. Thanks for your input bro. I have nothing against on what Samsung will do in their roadshow. Just being curious on how will pre-order users react if new buyers can get the phone earlier than them. That's all. Thanks again.

For people who surpised to see their numbers are on the list. What do you expect? Samsung already said ALL phones (except China units) must return. Of course your number is on the list lah. The imei check site is for people who already get the replacement unit but still feel skeptical about it, so they can check online to prove that the new set is genuine.
