QUOTE(eternity4av @ Sep 11 2016, 09:33 PM) Trust me, give it a try and demo Note 7 by yourself, you'll be amazed, I can say, for now, right now, as in we don't have LG V20, nor iPhone 7 / 7 Plus here, this is the closest phone you can get. But of course you need to know what you want first, specs wise you can always go with OnePlus3. But in terms of usability, S-Pen + Multi tasking, is a winner to me. And I believe not just me, most of YouTubers does have faith & carries Note 7 as their daily driver. Maybe they will return it as of now, but I'm pretty sure they will use it once it's available mass. And we can't deny it is the Samsung Flagship of 2016 nonetheless. I can't agree with you more, since I myself is already a Note 5 user. I definitely will go see and touch the phone myself once it launches in Malaysia. Although I am quite dissapointed with the incident, I still hope that Samsung will fix all the issues and comes back asap. Rebranding the name, or changing the specs, or whatever. Just hope that Samsung will hold on be strong enough on this. And Samsung please~~ Don't forget to bring in the blue coral version!

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Sep 11 2016, 09:43 PM) last month didn't go and visit note 7 roadshow ?? Too far lah bro. The nearest place to my area is Sunway roadshow, and that will take me about 1 & a half hour to get there. I prefer KLCC area. Much easier to access. I thought I can wait until it launches in Sept officially. Mana tau the battery gate came out pulak. This post has been edited by Max2006: Sep 11 2016, 09:56 PM

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Sep 11 2016, 09:50 PM) ohh, well who known maybe Samsung manage to give back those replacement unit and start the official launch at the same time still got 19 days left Well, can't be too greedy on this one lah. Let them settle the replacement units first. Then take a rest a bit, calm and steady..... and come back full force in Oct! If possible, bring in the blue coral version as well lah. No need to wait any longer lah. I am sure the new color will change those minds who afraid to buy Note 7 in the first place. Right now what Samsung should focus on is good strategies. Regain customer's confidence is the first priority they should attend to!

QUOTE(khainiz94 @ Sep 11 2016, 10:02 PM) But this phone feel so girlish. So pinky. Hahaha. Hilang kejantanan aku for 19 days.
Is it? My best friend who is a male is using pink color note 5. According to him, it's not entirely pink, it got some gold accents. So he can accept it. Anyway, looking on the bright side, at least you can get a lot of attention from the eyes of strangers in next 19 days.

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Sep 11 2016, 10:14 PM) You are wrong. Note 5 already drop to RM2100 currently. So Note 7 will drop to RM1500 due to no 2nd value. Please check market price before offer your opinion. Don't be misleading. Aiya. I already said it's my expectation ma. You can just say you disagree. No need to say I am misleading. In fact, where got misleading oh? Why so serious? This is a open forum. Correct or wrong, we can voice out our opinions. No need to be so professional. What is the fun in being so serious, right?

About the 2nd hand value, I think it will depend on the phone itself. If it's replacement unit, no way it will drop down to below RM 2000. Hell no. Impossible.
But if you are talking about the faulty unit (I still think that some people will not return the phone), RM 1500? May be lah.....

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Sep 11 2016, 10:36 PM) ya, actually, they should have some sort of rename and physical indicator. else airlines might still not allow new sets to be used... Yes. Rebranding the name is the only way to bypass those new regulations from Airlines. Not to mention that the name of "Note 7" is now broken due to the incident. Samsung should just change the name immediately so that people can differentiate it easily. Those bad news will be staying forever on the internet and medias. We won't be able to deny that. So Samsung better start from the scratch and relaunch the whole thing with a brand new title. Good to the PR and also the users will feel more comfortable with the new name. Just my 2 cents.

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Sep 11 2016, 10:46 PM) Change name can. They need to reprint all the boxes. Then have new mold with new name. And you wait until 29 November only get the phone Well, honesly, I won't mind to wait for longer time. As long as it's problem free, wait until next year also can!

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Sep 11 2016, 10:50 PM) Exploding fruit probably not as widespread and as bad as exploding Samsung. I believe Samsung make such decision because they found the problem is really bad. Else, why recall right? They know how damaging is the recall. You can feel it now. So Samsung recall is 'terpaksa' one. "Terpaksa" or not, it's still a right thing to do so for Samsung. You can't deny that. Who care whether they are "terpaksa" or not? Janji they will fix it then we all happy la. isn't that the most important thing to the users? QUOTE(gogo2 @ Sep 11 2016, 10:55 PM) Sometimes its not under Samsung control. You found serious hardware bug that can cause fire in your product. You are "forced" to do the "right" thing. As for other company or as some say fruit company, they probably found its isolated incident. Company like Samsung have a lot of expert in terms of technical and also in business. They recall after calculated all the risk. then how? Are you suggesting that Samsung should do the right thing "volunteerly"? No way la. Which business company would do good things "volunteerly" one? Of course they all are "forced" to do so la. This is Business 101 ma. All is about profit.

QUOTE(eetony @ Sep 11 2016, 11:05 PM) Y is that to do the Right thing need to be forced?? Isn't it the common believe & ethical way for Everyone? It must b very pity if one need to b forced to do the right thing in daily life man.. ..."-" Yes. It's common believe for every individual. But you can't say the same thing when it comes to business. For example, Maxis. Do you think Maxis would change their mind to ditch their expensive plan if the customers did not "force" them to do so? No right?

QUOTE(MillkTea93 @ Sep 11 2016, 11:27 PM) just want to ask that what kind if loan phone we can get during submit the phone to samsung service center? s7 edge? if I just want the s7 edge , can we request it ? according to previous reports in this thread, it seems that SC will give you loan phone based on the stock availability. First come first serve policy. At first, they will give you S7 Edge. No stock? Then S6 Edge. No stock again? Then Note 5. So forth and so on..... if all phones models are not avaiable, they may give you Samsung tab instead...(just kidding). This post has been edited by Max2006: Sep 11 2016, 11:33 PM

QUOTE(apecx92 @ Sep 12 2016, 01:26 AM) Deactivate after 30 septemberAfter 30 September samsung will remotely deactivate our Note 7. Hmmm Can they really do that? Since they claimed to do so, then it's safe to say they really can do that. But that's not important. The question is whether they are doing it worldwide or only based on selective country? For sure, they will execute it in Korea since its the mother land of Samsung. Next will be America, which is a big market to them. But will they execute it in SEA countries like Malaysia and Singapore? Really not sure right? All I can say is that, at this moment, the concept of this remote deactivation is still ambiguous. We need more info and details on this. Hopefully Samsung will elaborate more on how they gonna execute this.

QUOTE(anthraxxxx @ Sep 12 2016, 11:35 AM) My phone keep crashing recently. When I forced boot it, it will take quite a long time to load the Home screen. Sometimes, it will get stuck on the "Samsung Galaxy Note 7" display screen. I don't recall my Note 2 and Note 5 crashed as many times as my Note 7. Sign of system failing. If I was you, i would have shut it down and keep it away right after it crash. Why you still keep using it since it already strat showing problem? Keep it in somewhere safe and wait until the replacement day lah.

QUOTE(talzer @ Sep 12 2016, 12:26 PM) will samsung offer attractive promo for future note7 owner in order to gain back the sales? Most likely, yes. However, since Samsung set the replacement date so late, a lot of issues are still pending to be solved. More and more accidents happening during the this waiting period. And some public and private transport services started to ban it. The whole situation is becoming tough now. Who knows? Note 7 may have a really difficult time to relaunch. This is the biggest challenge that Samsung ever encountered. We can't do anything about it, except wait and see how it goes in next couple of months....... QUOTE(chard168 @ Sep 12 2016, 01:55 PM) Maybe they will stop the whole Note 7 product from launching since it is already plagued with all sorts of negative news and start fresh again with a new model next year. Note 7 will be limited edition then lol just a piece of my mind, may sound ridiculous to u all Nope. Your idea is not that ridiculouis at all. In fact, anything can happen now. Seeing that there are more accidents, more regulations, more people request for refunds now.....Samsung top management sure are scratching their heads very hard this time...

QUOTE(lllllx3 @ Sep 12 2016, 02:21 PM) but dunno you all got realize or not ..all note 7 advertisement has been remove ... izit they planning to change name on this or wat.. ? jus got a sign on it..hahaha The advertisements were removed simply because they still don't know what to do with the Note 7 in the foreseeable future. The replacement programme is still in process. Relaunching date is not yet confirmed. Plus all those pressures and regulations from around the world. Right now, it's really hard to predict what is their next move after 29th Sept.
