As per the Maxis CS explanation.. dunno true or not, they say wanna make sure how many units returned and submit report at least 1 week in advance to SME so that SME can allocate stock for 29th.. its a logistic issue to avoid not enough sets during 29th as this issue is nationwide and SME need to plan the distribution..

No news from Samsung unit but I just received the following email from Senheng for my Senheng Units.

Dear Valued Customers,

Thank you for purchasing Galaxy Note7 with Senheng.

In regards to the recent case of Samsung Galaxy Note7, Samsung is voluntarily replacing all the pre-ordered Galaxy Note7 devices with new units. Replacement will only begin from 29 September 2016 onwards.

In order to smoothen up the replacement process, please complete the form at http://goo.gl/QuL72j with the following details:

· Full Name (as per NRIC)

· NRIC Number

· Contact Number

· Sales Order Number

· IMEI Number of your Current Galaxy Note7

· Preferred Senheng Outlet for Replacement

Below are the things you need to include for the replacement exercise:

· Galaxy Note7 device

· In-box accessories: Charger & Cable, Headset, SIM Eject Pin, QSG, USB Connector, USB Connector leaflet

· Galaxy Note7 device box

Each replacement unit will come with a complimentary tempered glass screen protector and Samsung Screen Protection Coverage (Validity period: 31 August - 31 December 2016) as a token of apology.

just to share samsung called me 5mins ago regarding the replacement. Fyi i didnt make call to them or livechat and still i receive phone call, they r calling all the preorder buyers. thumbs up.
is common many wan jump ship, probably they r not into note features & spen anyway, whats not better than new replacement and some compensation, maybe they change phone often anyway.
i think we can skip here till the replacement done. long weekend holidays is coming

just got the call from Samsung on the exchange. asked for the screen crack warranty and stuff. she doesn't seems to know it.

This people are Samsung vendor i.e the outlet you collected the phone. They dont have the information about special cases like screen protection purchased. That update will come from Samsung directly and maybe we need to deal with Samsung service center on that.

Got one girl call me too. Basically she read out the script and said thank you. I asked her if need to bring in early. She say don't know and wait until 29/9. Lol.
