There's nothing in my account. It's new. Trying to purchase in USD.

Just curious if I enter my credit card at the paypal checkout is it the same as linking my card to my paypal?

Since you have nothing in your Paypal account, then they would ask for your alternative payment method to fund your purchase, ie credit card/debit card/bank account.

Nope, even if your add in your credit card, you would still be unverified, unless you choose to verify it to remove the limit. But nonetheless, if your purchase is less then the limit they given you, and your status is still unverified, you can still purchase it.

You should add your credit card into your paypal account first (properly set up your paypal account) before you purchase anything.

If u doesnt want to link it to ur paypal, just pay using the credit card option would do.

Paypal is safe, but there are cases where paypal accounts been hack. so just b caution if u want to link it, make sure that acc have just enough funds to pay off the item and not anything more than that.

I'm curious about the credit card option. It's still under paypal right? But if can pay through credit card why would they require me to login paypal in the first place?

You use paypal so that you don't have to expose your credit card information to the merchants. Just assume that your credit card is hiding behind your paypal id. When you pay using paypal, you need to login to your paypal account at the checkout page. If not, then how will they know who is paying for the items.

Hi guys, Im new to paypal but have already successfully bought some items from ebay using paypal.

I have already Linked my Paypal to my debitcard. And of course still have MYR 10 balance (from the verification process)

Recently I have had a refund from an ebay seller. It was refunded in Canadian dollars.

Through the transaction history I can see that the refund process was done and converted to RM and then my balanced reflected the refunded amount in MYR e.g MYR 19.09

And then instantly the MYR9.09 was subtracted and the status says "transfer to credit card"

I am using a debit card. so where haaas the money went to?

does it take a few days?

Appreciate if anyone could clarify, I am very much in the blurr rclxub.gif

TQ

The money went directly back to your debit card's savings account. It will takes a few working days to get the money. Maybe around 3-5working days time.

I added a debit card to my paypal. But I notice there's a section under "profile" tab which says add bank account.

What's the difference/uses between those 2?

If linked already then no need top up.. Direct purchase from eBay can already.
Top up is for those that didn't link their card..

Means you'll have to ask your bank about it. If your bank doesn't have a solution then nothing can be done ady.. U may then try to transfer to another card

It's a Prepaid Visa card, so the 'bank' here is supposed to be Airasia?
